Faved lists

Inspired by a discussion on another forum, an art site which is about as old as FAC but still doesn't have this feature itself.

One of the features recently added to FAC is the ability to see a list of who's Faved a specific piece -- any restrictions on who has access to viewing said lists?

Allowing wider access to a feature can be good for the community overall. On the other hand, restricting access can help conserve server load and bandwidth.

I vote that only the artist who originally submitted the picture or story should only be allowed to view who favorited the piece.

That way, you can avoid arguments over things that are really stupid.

I don't see why anyone would.. argue over that.

The artist, at least, should be able to see who faved it. Being able to see who faved someone else's work is.. kinda useless, uninteresting, and if it helps the site by not existing, then don't bother.

Faved information is already displayed publicly in the other direction so it's not really showing anything that wasn't available before (indirectly)

although I doubt people who aren't logged in would lurk looking through fav lists of members they probably don't know...

Trust me, people would find a way to argue over anything. Especially the n00bs.

It would be like this:

"oooOOh, you faved her pic but not mines???// i hate u 4 ever!"

And from there would be a series of pointless arguing....
