i dont mind it the only thing is I hate when Im looking for something (aka Sora) on photobucket and its nothing but Yaoi (did I spell that right) Its kinda disturbing really

As to why they like yaoi, well, duh. It's all a group of fangirls, and hormones can make you act funny. Exactly why, I dunno. :/
After initially getting over the 'gay' pairing thing, and liking it, I think it kinda goes on to real life and more deep yaoi, not just 'making something hotter'.

I agree. but im addicted to shonen ai tween my fav singers....i dunno i just like the idea of boys kissing each other and cuddling softly, though thats shounen ai not yaoi. I dont like the super-hard sex either.
I think it has to do with girls and not liking to compare them to other anime girls. I suppose you can't exactly be exact if the other char's a guy, and more girls mean mary sues.

I think it has something to do with the transition between being a teenager.

Raging hormones start at puberty, and assuming the majority of yaoi fans are girls..

So we have this problem.. They're apprehensive about real boy parts, they like boys.. a little, and that feeling grows..

then they discover bishounen.

Kuraichan; I guess it's like that with some girls. However it doesn't fit me at all even if I'm a huge fan of yaoi.
Girly guys with long hair is a turn-off for me >_< I don't like big muscular guys either, but young (meaning 16-25), handsome boys/men

I'm not really sure why, but close relationships between two guys (doesn't have to be a gay relationship, might as well be close friends) seems so much more tender to me. It gives me a warm feeling inside whenever they show their softer side to each other.
Besides I enjoy watching yaoi because I think it's hot. Just like a lot of guys thinks it's hot to see two girls going at it ^_~
