You all appear to do what is a thankless job.
Everywhere I go in the forums it seems like people are bitching about how things are. I'm no supergenius, I have an average IQ and I KNOW it doesn't take a person who's not paralized from the neck up to realize what you guys do is for OUR benifit.
Hey, I'm new and I can tell what you guys do is in our best interest.

Anyway, I just wanted to offer you my gratitude for going out of your way to make this place better.

Everyone thinks a mod's evil when it's [i]them[/i] they're punishing. There's entire sites devoted to calling the Oekaki Central mods nazis because they deleted that little brat's ten minute doodle from the main hall. Rolling eyes

When it comes to authority (mods/approval panel/etc.) some people take things personally when, really, it's not. I mean, sure I get disappointed if I receive that certain e-mail called "Your submission to Fanart Central has been rejected" but, honestly, it's not that big of a deal.

BTW, what's Oekaki? I see that term everywhere....

I'm not sure of the actual definition of it. but it's a type of drawing done on the computer. ChrisFox did a really good one of Freddy from elm street (horror movie) I don't knw what the difference are between it and other types though for sure *Shrugs*

And fallen. are you serious about that site? I've never seen it! lol. That would be funny to see. Oh boy, kids, they take things so seriously.

Denis has me help him test out a new feature for the AP staff, in which i had to have something rejected. And when i looked at it, it was so plain and simple and un rude. I really don't understand have people get upset over them. I started laughing my ass off. i remember telling him "That's all!? I don't get it, what's the big deal?" lol

Oekaki is an online drawing applet (program). You can draw in it and hit "submit" and it posts it to the board. Oekakicentral.com has tons of themed rooms dedicated to different subject matter and skill levels. I think it means "quick sketch" or "doodle" or something like that in Japanese.

Y'all have a [i]free, organized, regulated[/i] site with [i]no limit on total gallery submissions, content (especially being a fanart site), quickly dealt with questions/problems/concerns, and immediate action taken against art thieves[/i].

Until you're payin' the server bill, ain't no one got room to bitch about anything.

From the possibly 5 days I've been here, I've found that already everybody hates me. Especially the mods and they are always yelling at me for the accidents I do like double posting or being dumb. I havent been on a message board for almost a year or two and ones I've been on in the past were very loose with double posting,spam etc. and I'm really sorry for all my mistakes but I do apologize and I do try not to do them but I mess up. Dont get me wrong, I do apreciate the time and effort the mods put into this message board and I am very greatful for what they do. But you have to take into consideration that those times were just accidents and I assure you if they do happen again they are still accidents. I am still trying to figure out how to work everything out on this message board so once again I'll say that im very sorry for everything wrong that I have done in the past 5 days and I will try not to do any of them again. But im still in the process of figuring everything out. ^_^ I guess thats all I have to say.

Hey, s'all we ask is that people try not to double post right in a row (meaning one right after the other, if there's a couple hours or days between them it doesn't matter much) and stay on topic. Just bringin' people's attention to it when it happens so they can be more careful about it in the future. Smile

Well anyways... X3 back to topic, I agree that the mods don't get enough credit for the hard work they do. Maybe if all the submit-happy people saw all the hard work they put into this and all the time and effort they would not get so emotional over dumb stuff. Kudos to you guys, really. :3

Hmm... an offshot idea just occured to me . . . what if the limit was say, 12 per seven days [i]and[/i] no more than 3 on any day? Basically then if they upload 3 pics per day for four days, then they have to wait a few days "to cool down" before they're allowed to upload more.

. . . Yeah, like [i]that's[/i] ever going to happen Laughing
