I never said a bad thing about Cyndi, I just hate the song. I just mute the T.V when those commercials come on now.

There's a song that has the weirdest chorus. It seems to list food in a heavy metal manner... They used it in a Honda commercial once, but I have no idea who sings it.

Hm, I don't pay that much attention to songs in commercials unless I know 'em. Like Lust For Life also being used in the Carnival Cruise commercials. <_< But that stupid Firestone commercial is the worst.

What they need to do is put at the bottom of the screen the band who's doing the background music so you know who to listen to or who to avoid.

Yes. There's a commercial that keeps running on Comedy Central for Xtreme Dodge Ball, and it starts with William Hung singing We Are The Champions, then into the real Queen version. Ugh.

The one that plays in the background for the Six Flags commercials. You know, the ones with the dancing geezer. <_<

"Iron Man" by Black Sabbath isn't annoying if you don't put the CD player on "Repeat 1" for an hour.

The one way to make a song completely annoying is to fall asleep listening to it.

"I Hate Everything About You"

The lyrics make no sense.

"I hate everything about you
So why do I love you?"

Uh.....you don't. You hate everything about them....

Or, maybe the really love this person, but they think she's ugly and short....

Bad and annoying song they play 45% of the time on 98X.
"I Hate Everything About You"

The lyrics make no sense.

"I hate everything about you
So why do I love you?"
"I Hate Every Bone In Your Body (but mine)" Cool

"In one ear n' out the other
Told myself this girl is trouble. Yeah.
Everyone that looks at her
Is tragically struck in love

[bridge]
Wait a minute
This chick's got me addicted
I hate her so
Even though I wish she was my girl

[chorus]
I hate every bone in your body but mine
I can't wait till I can hate you tonight

Never thought I'd understand
But she's too good just for one man. Yeah.
Round n' round n' round she goes
Who she's with don't wanna know

[bridge, chorus 2x's, solo]"

And so on and so on. I love that song. Makes perfect sense. Though can get quite annoying if played repeatedly.

Heh... I suppose I'm lucky to not have heard nearly half of the songs mentioned.

Although I did work at a grocery store for four years, and if you work in that kind of environment, you AUTOMATICALLY have a list of songs you hate to hear played across the store Muzak system.

Of course, after four years, you kind of start loving to hate it... not quite the same....

For example, "Cruisin' Was Made For Love" -- a line from its chorus, the proper title and artist of which I don't have the slightest clue. I can identify it by ear in like 3 seconds. The chorus was something like...
QUOTE (Name that tune?)
You're going to fly a-way, ... .. .. .... ... (I forget the rest of the line)
I love it, when we're cruisin' to-gether
Music is played, for love
Cruisin' was made, for love
I love it, when we're cruisin' to-gether
Fortunately that's the only part of the song that I can remember. The rest I can only remember when I hear it playing.

There's another song, either by N'Sync or BSB, a stupid boyband song, again I can't name the title, and fortunately I can't bring any of the lyrics to mind right now, or the tune for that matter. I'd try humming a few bars if this weren't a forum....

And, of course, ANY of the saccharine tunes from a Rankin/Bass production. Like "Frodo-o-o of the N-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-ne Fingers....", or that one from their Christmas specials, "Even a Miracle Needs A Hand".

Why is it that the songs you hate, only seem the more likely to get stuck in your head?

That one song is, I think, called "Cruisin" by...I think it's a soundtrack. Gwyneth Paltrow in some movie.

Vixen has a song called Cruisin that doesn't suck nearly as much.
