He's gonna sue my ass for kicking my ass?

He'd be a poor, poor man after that, Fallen. I could win that case.

"No Shelter"-Rage Against the Machine

Besides, Fallen, it's not like I'd say it to his face. Couldn't even get close.

Slash has around 75 Les Pauls, right? Damn...

I'll just stick with Squier. Got my Stratocaster dirt cheap for 129 bucks during a sale on Musicians Friend.

Genuine Gibson Les Pauls run at 1,099 bucks. That means.....

Slash has spent close to 82,425 bucks on guitars.

I need cash.....

No he hasn't. He gets most of them for free, I'm sure. Those companies love giving away shit like that 'cause it's good for sales if people see big name artists playing their stuff. So all you need to do is become famous so they'll send you free ones. Very Happy

Hell, C.C. DeVille had hundreds of guitars at one point (might still, dunno). No way he could pay for all those. Cocaine isn't cheap. Razz And damn he has some pretty custom ones. I want that flying-v with rainbow glittery flames so bad... Or the one covered in disco mirrors.

But I'll have to live with the stupid Squier Strat, too. Sad That's about the same price as Guitar Center during anniversary sales.

EDIT: Oh, and yes Axl would sue you. He'll sue anyone. I think he just likes going to court. Rolling eyes

I KNEW IT!!

And he could sue me, but I need to find my arsenic tablets before he can. Rolling eyes

Just surround yourself with a bunch of gay males who are big fans of his. That makes him behave. (don't ask, stupid story)

And when you're famous with Gibson and BC Rich sending you free shit, toss a little my way. Wink

Sure. I'll send you a G&L Legacy

The original Stratocaster. Very high quality, as well as a cap.

I dunno, I'm awful partial to the BC Rich Bich. Love those pointy things. I want to know I can stab someone with my guitar. Razz

Hmm........ Ibanez has fairly sharp ends. Van Halen used one.

I'll send you a knife and sharpener to make your own point if need be.

I'll just stick with BC Rich, even if it means sacrificing food and heat for a few months. Razz I don't care for Ibanez much. Meh.

I'm not a big fan of B.C. Rich, their guitars aren't that great of quality and will eventually cost as much as a expensive guitar after you find a case that can hold those suckers O_o I like Ibanez a bunch same goes with Gibson and Fender. I might be getting a Fender Tele' soon once I can save up enough money. I have a Samick Cobra right now.

Washburn is good, along with Jackson. I usually go to Musicians Friend for the best deals. I want to save up for a Fender Jaguar(this would take me so damn long... 3 years about) but due to our drummers cell phone bills, I need to save up for his new set. Goddammit. Grr!
When I'm older, and hopefully more famous, I'd love to go to Fender or Squier and request they make a custom guitar for me. I'd probably fuse a Jaguar with a Standard Fat Strat so I'd get a nice heavy sound out of it. Probably keep the headstock, but the body might be that of a Strat. Same switches and Volume control as the Jaguar, but I'd add an extra Tone knob.
Probably just call it the Custom, though.
I wonder how'd that look. I'm gonna try something now.

Lmao The John whatever your last name is Custom Strat' . For me, I would like a hand crafted Vintage Cherry, Quilted Maple top,Supreme Custom Gibson Les Paul with some kind of custom fret board inlays and Ernie Ball Super Slinkies, (Eights) for strings. As far as pickups go, I'd combine a P 90 Soapbar pick up as the neck pickup ,with two humbuckers. That would make for an interesting sound.

Nah, I'd just call it "the Custom".

Les Pauls are freakin expensive, so I'd have to settle for Epiphone. They aren't as much, round $199, but now they're having specials on Musicians Friend where Gibson Les Pauls are running for $499 instead of $1099.

Eh, I'm not big on customizing hardware. It sounds how it sounds, the original pickups and such are part of the guitar. *shrug*

And if the guitar doesn't look cool, it sucks. Except in studio, but on stage that fucker better look good. George Lynch understands that. Razz God I'd take any one of his. He made Dokken cool.

I don't like the way Ibanez guitars sound. Depends on who's playing, but in general...

Those are some kick-ass guitars.

Washburn has a great sound, as do Telecasters. Strats also have good sound.

Looks like he has a Bullet down at the bottom next to the Strat.

The first 50 guitars have locking Tremulo! Very nice!

I want to build my own from scratch. I want to have a Jazz Bass body(black) with a chrome pickguard with Jaguar/ Jazzmaster switch control. 2 tone and 1 volume. Front Jack plate(Strat style) and Fat Strat humbucklers. Think I'll put a nice design on there, too. Maybe a silver outlined dragon rearing it's head, baring it's fangs and spreading it's wings, poised to attack.

I need to draw that sucker.

Yep, George is a god. One of the many guitarists underrated because of how they look(ed). . . . .

So many underrated guitarists, so little time to recognize them all.

That pic I posted was a rough sketch. I need to make it cooler looking. If you've seen some of the guitars Fender made in cooperation with Japan(like the Katana), I might make it looking like that.

I hope Denis picks me for AP.

We could definately try, Fallen.

Tom Morello- hasn't gotten as much credit as he should. He is the master of modern day effects and tecnique. Listen to his work with RATM as well as Audioslave
Kurt Cobain- did not impress people with hard core solos, but used raw materials to emphasize his sound. Often, you could relate to his situation by hearing his guitar, not his words.
Guitarist for Puddle of Mudd- doesn't recieve enough attention because he's the guitarist for Puddle of Mudd
John Fruciante- very awesome guitarist. Works for the Peppers(RHCP), but leads a more secretive life than the others.
Jaco Pastorius- best damn bass guitarist there ever was and will be. He hasn't been given as much attention as he could because he's Jazz and hardly no one listens to Jazz anymore. He was the best, hands down.
Bassist for Primus- another excellent bass guitarist. Listen to "Tommy the Cat" for good example.
Krist Novoselic- doesn't acheive much because he didn't do much after Nirvana. Said he might run for gov. of Oregon, but decided not to.
Chi Cheng- bassist for Deftones. Doesn't get much attention because he's the bassist for Deftones.

It's a start. Rolling eyes

Izzy Stradlin' - overshadowed by Slash. But his solo albums kick ass.

C.C. DeVille - Sloppy and has a reputation for being out of tune and not plugged in (while less than sober), but he's got the chops and is quite good. Not a god by any means, but has come up with some of the most memorable melodies, hooks, and solos of the decade. The solo for Life Goes On is one of the best power ballad solos of all time, admitted as such by even those who hate his guts.

Mick Mars - Great slide guitar player. People rip on him for not shredding, but since when was that a requirement? . . . .

Steve Stevens - (played with Billy Idol, if anyone doesn't recognize the name) Great guitarist, not enough credit.

While I'm thinking of it, I think Kurt's both underrated and overrated. Underrated in people appreciating what he did, overrated by those who talk like he was a guitar god with masterful skills.

Tony Iommi's influence is underrated.
