Starter Pokemon released a few days ago. People seem to have a lot of hate for the Water starter one. I think I'll end up choosing the Fire pig one.

So those are the 5th gen starters... meh. They just don't have the same aesthetic about 'em. (Which one's the fastest?)

5th and 4th gen starters are okay. 2nd and 3rd were pretty shitty in my opinion. The best is 1st, of course. I'm just basing this on the aesthetics, because the games are so easy that it really doesn't matter how improved the gameplay is. You eventually finish the game. Game over, you r winner, go home.

People who EV level up to 100 and feed bloody expensive protein/calcium to their pokemons to edge out on other LV100 pokemons on wifi are just sad. Rolling Eyes

Also, Pokemon series will end when they run out of color/tone/shade to name each series after. I'm still waiting for Pokemon Mauve.

Also, on spanish version, the boy's default name will be Negro. Have fun Chicos.

I love Pokemon games but I don't really care to put that much time and effort into a flipping Pokemon. lol
Also, Pokemon series will end when they run out of color/tone/shade to name each series after. I'm still waiting for Pokemon Mauve.
...Totally agreed, unless they resort back to naming Pokemon games after minerals and gems such as opals, amethysts, rose quartz, or topaz.
So those are the 5th gen starters... meh. They just don't have the same aesthetic about 'em. (Which one's the fastest?)
No idea since not much information about them has been released yet.

Their Japanese names are:

Grass starter: Tsutaja

Fire starter: Pokabu

Water starter: Mijumaru
[/list:u]

They all come with the default PokeAbilities such as Overgrow, Blaze, and Torrent, of course. No information has been released on their evolutionary lines yet. I am guessing Pokabu will probably end up being the one with the lowest speed and maybe high defense or attack. I see Tsutaja being the one with the highest speed.

And then there's the first two released known Black/White Pokemon, Zorua and its evolution, Zoroark:

These are known as the dark fox Pokemon and I think Zoroark can only be gotten with a special Nintendo-sponsored event I believe, or at least, so I heard. Zoroark has a special ability called Illusion which I think makes it transform into legendary Pokemon I believe.
It would seem that it changes its appearance to the appearance of the other legendary beasts, similar to the movie. However, from what we can tell, its type doesn't change so you'll need to remember that you're battling a Dark-type Pokémon.

During the battle, Zoroark will revert back to its standard appearance when you have dealt enough damage. This will be your chance to capture it.
The game itself is going to use more 3D rendering of buildings and landscapes and such than Pearl/Diamond/Platinum/SoulSilver/HeartGold. Pokemon Black/White also will come with a new battle system, which I am curious to see:
The first thing to note is the aesthetic changes to the battles. In battles in Black & White, the Pokémon are no longer just static sprites on a static background. Instead, everything is in motion. The front and backsprites of each Pokémon move at all times, some even changing movement based on certain scenarios.

In addition to the moving sprites, the camera is also adaptive during battle. With many attacks, when you attack and some attacks when you're attacked, the camera will zoom out and show your entire Pokémon doing that attack. This feature is seamless and the battles go faster than the ones in the past generation.
Let's see, first they will run through the colors as they have. (Red, Green...)

second, they will go through metals (gold/silver/platinum/steel?/titanium?)

third, they will go through the minerals and gems (crystal/ruby/sapphire/emerald/pearl/opal?/coral?)

And then there are these helpful lists, which I want royalties if they ever name their series after them. This will ensure Nintendo to have a naming conventions forever and ever, how about:

Greek Letters: because math nerds get off Greek letters, furries, and buying legitimate game software. Pokemon Alpha, Pokemon Omega all actually sound plausible.

Best name in the series: Pokemon Kai (letter X, written as chi, pronounced kai)

Astral Bodies: Pokemon Venus and Pokemon Mars would be an excellent name for furry dating sim (or so I've heard). Pokemon Earth sounds like BBC April fools special.

Best name in the series: Pokemon Polaris

Trees: The professors are all named after them anyway, so it's a natural discourse. It also will please the six grass-type users in the universe. Pokemon Pine, Pokemon Spruce, Pokemon Cedar, are all plausible and as added bonus, will remind the usual Pokemon players to get some air freshners.

Best name in the series: Pokemon Hickory

Hard Liquors/Cocktails: If they ever make "gritty" versions of Pokemon, with Heath Ledger replacing Jack Nicholson's performance as Mr. Mime. As with any adult oriented games since Sim City, You get to run over geriatrics and steal their pensions in Pokemon Gin, while you can run over prostitutes (even though grandmothers and prostitutes are not mutually exclusive) and force miscarriages in Pokemon Scotch. On the flip side of the coin, female players who shy away from (awesome) carnage will be able to play Pokemon Cosmopolitan, where the players can choose from 300+ shoes/gigolos and have the option of carrying tiny Pokemon in their purses.

Best names in the series: Pokemon Sex on the Beach, Pokemon on the Rocks, Pokemon Kahlua, too many to list.

Baking Ingredients: When they run out of everything. Pokemon Yeast will be a good title to introduce the new "fungi" type Pokemon when they get to the point where they have to separate Pokemon type with real-life biology to prevent category overcrowding. Other than that, this is a stupid category, but it will eventually come to this if Pokemon franchise continues. I am not looking forward to trading Pokemon via telekinesis on Pokemon Starch.

Best name in the series: Pokemon Rum.

Gosh darn it, just make a Pokemon MMORPG already. All they're essentially doing is adding new characters, new towns/cities, and new Pokemon.
