Ah yes, FTW. Took me a while to understand what the hell that meant. Translated literally, it's "For The Win," which, if you ask me, makes no sense at all. Personally, I'd go will ATW (all the way) because it makes more sense to moi. Than again...

Piers Anthony....I can say I've heard that name before. What did they write?
FTW, THAT'S what they've been saying! Oh...

Yeah, ATW sounds better.

Piers ANthony, he wrote:
THe Xanth trilogies "Swell Foop", "Up in a Heaval" and soo many more, more than 26 I think. This series is hilarious and absolutely chock-full (or is it chalk-full?) of puns!

Here's a bookstore's website with all his books:
Borders/Amazon

Danks for the link, Pauline. :)

Okay, I found another GREAT book. I have this thing for Brit authors. I think they add more spunk to some writing than other Americans do.

It's called A Year in the Merde Now, for all of you that don't know, merde is French for s**t. This is a hilarious book and I'm having a blast reading it. Basically about a Brit who goes to France for work and just...has a very INTERESTING experience.

A Year in the Merde ATW!!

Hmmm. Sounds interesting, Megan. I might look into it when I need a book!

Also, another good book/trilogy is by Trudi Canavan: The Black Magician Trilogy. The books are
"The Magicians' Guild"
"The Novice"
and "The High Lord"

They're fantasy and magic books. Pretty good. Smile

I love Dave Barry books. They make me laugh out loud. If you ever see the book "Dave barry Does Japan" in a book store, pick it up and take a look. It's hillarious.

I like the books by Tolkien. I also enjoy several other books, by Josh Harris, C.S. Lewis... the list goes on. There's many good writers!

Anything by: Tolkien, Poe, C.S. Lewis, Ursula K. LeGuin, or Garth Nix

I also love The Hounds of the Morrigan by Pat O'Shea, the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Cut by Patricia McCormick.

Can I say my favorite poet? If so, that'd be Robert Frost. Technically, he made books... so he was a writer. Technically.
