Ah, the old story of the Monkey King. Did you know that the original Dragonball (not Z)
was based on that story?

yep, sure did. Believe it or not in DG's younger days she was quite obsessed with both Dragonball and Dragonball Z

Legendary dragon pokémon excluded. That was one of the cool things about them, that there weren't many dragons to go around (though in retrospect, their elemental characteristics weren't [i]too[/i] useful after all, Steel was the powerhouse).

I want it when it comes out, but I have a question. Do you HAVE to USE the touch-screen? Because, my touch screen doesn't work (long story). I hope it doesn't.

But anyway, I would like to get either one of those versions. I want to see all the new Pokemon.

I'm not into Pokemon anymore as I was when I was 10 or 11, but I DO like the games. =3

You need it for a bunch/most of the mini games, but you can go without out it for the rest of normal gameplay.

I got Diamond the first day it came out. I admit, i'm still a Pokemon fan.
I chose Piplup, named it Aquin. I've played over 30 hours total. And my Empoleon is in level 50. Everybody said Empoleon was the best choice, so I chose it. I really like the music and graphics. I especially like using GTS (Global Trading Station) I got a japanese Turtwig out of it, then I was able to trade that Turtwig for a japanese Manaphy. Anyone else use Wi-Fi? It's fun.

Although, if you ask me, the games got more challenging. Especially when Pokemon Types and Stats started to matter. I kind of also like the difference between the genders. And the attack graphics are awesome (Especially Dialga's Roar of Time attack). I don't like Team Galactic though. Bah.

Over here, there were more Diamond versions sold and reserved than there were in Pearl. Why does everyone like Diamond so much? Is it because of Dialga? I chose it because I just like the blue colors, although Palkia is kind of cool.

I got Diamond on the release date. I picked it because I thought Dialga looked cooler than the pink one (I hate pink so much I haven't even bothered to learn its name).

As for starter, I chose chimchar because I thought its final evolution looked the coolest. No other reason.

I read a few months ago that attacks are different now in that all element based attacks do not only depend on the Special Attack stat.

Like, Fire Punch is now based on Attack points and still has elemental properties.

So, basically Hitmonchan is a killer now.

My brother got so f**king lucky. He traded a f**king Chingling for a Shiny Dialga. Now my brother tells me if I can give him something good, he'll give me that Dialga.

That is correct, moves of any type are individually classified as physical or special. I browsed the Player's Guide, moves have three icons to identify their type: contact (physical), non-contact (special), and status-altering.

yes 8D I hate the orbs mainly cause you can only use them to get stuff for your secret base (which I've always hated decorating) but I love its when I find an evo stone, hold item, or fossil <3

I had a very surreal dream last night that was Pokémon D/P themed.

Firstly, the world was HUGE. Like 10 times the size of Hoenn or so. The entire left half was ocean & small islands because the rest of the world on that side had been "sealed" aaway, and the player's goal early on was to locate and "free" all the missing towns & such (kinda like the game [i]Soul Blazer[/i] on NES, but with a Pokémon twist).

There was only one shop on the whole left side, and you had to recover/rebuild the entire western continent even before questing out to locate the eight Gym Leaders and so on.

Oh, and ervery character up to that point, including you, was a Pokémon. Not like in the Mystery Dungeon games, but more like human with the ability to transform into one for battles.

That qualifies as weird, all right.

Diamond and Pearl are awesome. They make Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald look bad (Graphic-wise and stuff).

Well the DS is quite a bit more powerful then the Advance is.
