My favourite book is now one that I got from the bookstore the other day. It's called The Foreshadowing and it's written by Marcus Sedgwick. It's about a girl called Alexandra that sees premontions of people's deaths. It's set in 1915 and it's when the war between the main countries and Germany started. Her brothers go to war, one dies and she goes off to try and save the other disguised as a nurse going to help the wounded soldiers.

...

It's more interesting than it sounds.

I've never heard of them. I'll have to take a look. Recently I read this short story by Jonathan Nolan. It was amazing. Called...Memento, I think.

I'm not a real fantasy freak...it has its moments, but othertimes I'm sitting there reading it and for some reason, it's just boring. I love mystery--except the stereotypical kind, which is basically EVERYTHING out, but it does have it's moments. Comedy, good, romance, eewww...Way to hopelessly romantic for my taste.

James Patterson. Anybody 'eard of 'im?

If you like mystery, try reading, The Oath, by Frank Perreti. That one gave me chills!

Still, I love many different typoes of books, but I really like to read old classics, like Alice in Wonderland, as well as books like Memoirs of a Geisha.

I'll read just about anything if I like it. ^_^ I'll read from science fiction to historical fiction to realistic fiction. I'm odd that way.

I'll read some kinds of nonfiction, but otherwise I usually stick to fiction unless it's for a report.

Apparently, I'm a big British comedy loser because my favorite books are The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Red Dwarf, which was actually written after the TV show. They're kind of similar in the satirical writing style as well as the Science Fiction elements. When I was younger I use to read a lot of Christopher Pike which basically segwayed me into the Mystery genre and introduced me to Dean Koontz. The very first thing I read of his is still my favorite, which was Night Chills. It was such a strange book that I actually ended up doing a report on in my Junior year of high school. That got some interesting reactions out of people.

One author I would love to read that I haven't really is Chuck Palahniuk. I picked up Choke whilst I was in the book store and read about 50 or so pages from it. It was gritty, disgusting, and just plain vulgar. It was incredible. You may be more familiar with his novel Fight Club. Yea, that was him. Razz

OMGGGGGGGGGGGG

Fight Club kicked incredible ass. I absoluetely love that book. It was definetely gross, vulgar and crude...but that's what made it great.

Fight Club FTW.

I like the humor of Piers Anthony. Intriguing books.

"Fight Club"?
"FTW"?

Ah yes, FTW. Took me a while to understand what the hell that meant. Translated literally, it's "For The Win," which, if you ask me, makes no sense at all. Personally, I'd go will ATW (all the way) because it makes more sense to moi. Than again...

Piers Anthony....I can say I've heard that name before. What did they write?
