Convention thread #5.

Never gonna happen. For a variety of reasons. Biggest ones being people are lazy and/or too poor/young to travel anywhere.

Which is part of why I suggested LA, there's fuckin' [i]Disneyland[/i] and Six Flags and Venice Beach and Hollywood and LACMA and...stuff. Just make it a vacation.

Hell, I have a free membership to LACMA that includes one guest, y'all could fight American Gladiators style for who gets to go for free. Cool

It's not bad at all. For two months maybe where it's ungodly hot, but like Tyler said, it's dry and just....hot. Not humid and hard to breathe like the southeast. It's technically the desert, after all.

But like right now, it's high 60s/low 70s everyday, can't get much nicer than that for fuckin' [i]January[/i]. Lovely.

There's whole stores devoted to anime. Several of them. *just got 60% of FAC to look up plane tickets*

I would like to have a con, but have no idea how to actually arrange one.

It would be a huge amount of work. Still think its best to just have it as a room at some anime (or other) con.

I could look into having it at this summer's anime-evolution in Vancouver or Sakura-con in Seattle, but I figure, few would come.

Never gonna happen.... there are too many people from around the world in this site, 7/8 are under 15 years old, how many people would go, how many actually use the forums and would like to know the others? Not many...

As Denis said I think its better to just have a room at a bigger convention than having a FAC-only one.

i would definatl. i was gonna go to the last sakuracon but my boss didnt need me so i missed it. oh well im get to go to katsucon atleast........even though its suppose to be slow.

but the fac meetings at cons sounds fun. kinda like how they have their gaia online or whateve meetings.
