I think he's only looking for Approval Panel because afternoon submissions have been flooding the Approval Queue.

It's not only the afternoon queues. The morning ones are pretty bad as well. I sat around for probably three hours yesterday waiting for someone to get on and approve something, and it hit something like 175 before anyone did anything WTF?

Oh, and yes volunteers are ONLY needed for approvals.

Alright. I am going to post my abilities on here! ^_^
First, I've been helping Raymei out for over a month and she's volunteered to train me if I want to become a helper, which I do.
I know what is allowed on here and what isn't.
I'm online all the time. Seriously. I have no life. All I do is fanart. I'd be really good at this.
Also, I think I've been on FAC for a good enough amount of time to sort of know it. I have over 200 pictures up right now (not that that really matters).
I really hope you consider me as a new helper, I know you'll have Raymei's vote. Razz

Oh, I'm sorry.. I forgot to ad that I wouldn't be able to do the "hanging out in the chat" thing. I would be able to do a bit of forum watching. Everything else listed I would be fine doing though.

Some of you make it sound like it's easy being on the AP <_<

It's blocked up in the morning because the person who usually does it in the morning, had been away. And the afternoon is the problem because it gets blocked up rather quickly, even with someone around every 30 minutes to check it. the morning blockage happens over a course of few hours of slow and steady submissions that take place through the nightly hours. The afternoon however can go from 20 submissions in que to 100 with a very short period of time.

Try doing AP when it's 100, and every time you get something off the list, two more are added in its place Grr!

it's not easy, it's not fun.

And just so you know, it really helps us if we knew people before they volunteered. If we didn't know you before or see much of you around, it really makes it difficul to decided wether to take certain people in or not. Because we don't know for ourselves how they react to situation form everyday observation and interaction with them.

In the end, if you don't make it, but would like to help someday in the future perhaps when we get more staff added on (again that hopefully won't be anytime to soon after this) A good thing to keep in mind, is to be active in the forums so the staff know who you are, how you react, views, maturity, etc etc. And some what of a healthy dose of activity on the main FAC site whether it's your artwork and how well you have them categorized or if you comment often.

And no, that doesn't mean you act like our shadows until then or suck up to us by any means. If anything, that would ensure you wouldn't get a position ever on staff. And god please, don't ask to be on AP or any staff unless we ask for volunteers for future reference. That tends to piss some pieple off if you know what i mean. <_<

Yeah, I'd love to help too, and anyway, I seem to be on when the AP is REAAALLLY high..... *thinks* that may just be because i live on here, but yeah. Im always willing to help if need be.

I wouldnt mind helping on the Approval Panel but I would need to know the who, what, when, where, and hows of doing this job here!

you know are there certain times and days that each person works, or is it just I log on and go to work. is there special software or passwords to get into the area to do the job and how would I aquire it if I were accepted. and a list of the specific rules for the job. I know there is the total rules for everyone to read but I mean some specific to each job, and if there isnt and Denis wants something like that he can send as refferance to each individual for their jobs, Im used to doing that kinda work. I could write individual instructions for specific jobs (oh and that dosnt mean Id make it up as I go/its Denis' site so its Denis' rules)!

let me know if you need help and whats involved in it for the App Panel!

I would be very happy working on the approval panel. Free time is no problem for me, I spend hours on the computer a day (sorry if I sound obsessed). I am usually on several times durring the day, and oftentimes when no approval people are around. If you are still interested, feel free to contact me so I can do the job right if I'm selected. Some info on the AP for Bruce and anybody else curious

* People work when they are available and needed.
* No special software is needed, its just another link added to the top of the page with the others.
* A list of the specific rules for the job consists mostly of the site rules, but more are available for those who are accepted (Lasher just wrote up a nice long thing about that last night)
