What Are Your Imperfections

This thread makes me want to cry. ;_;

Imperfections, eh?

Physically, I only have a few big ones.

+I'm legally blind in my right eye. The damn thing is about worth shit. I can't see out of it...I don't know what I'm looking at, and when I get tired, because it is also a lazy eye, it starts to wander off freaking the hell out of people.

+Unlike my mother, who is Ms. Amazon at 5'11", I unfortunetely inherited my dad's short gene. Right now I'm only 5'7". *tear*

+Since I've been really paying attention to my skin lately, my acne has gone down substantially to the point where it's basically non-existant...Nevertheless, I still have some....problems, with it.

+I'll just copy what Sixx said since it's relatively close to my situation:

Mentally....

+I beat myself up waaay too much when it comes to the piano. I'm a good pianist but I haven't had the discipline, and I think sometimes that angers me to the point where I'm ready to throw in the towel and never play the piano again.

+I have moments when I am painfully cynical for my age.

+I'm overly critical of my writing, sometimes to the point where I'll delete an entire story because I'm ashamed of it.

+I'm too harsh on my brother.

+I have the tendency to be a control freak.

I think...that for now, at least, that's it.

O.o Oops...I guess I'm anorexic, then. I usually say that two ribs is good, but beyond that you're getting a little bit obsessive.

My best friend's younger sister has it. All I can say is don't worry about it--eventually your body will adjust and you'll do fine. The younger sister got surgery and now she's doing substantially better. I hope the same goes with you.

Oh my gosh...surgery? That scares the crap out of me. Everytime I got to see my prosthetics docter for an x-ray, he ALWAYS brings up surgery.

Hm...dunno if there was a similar topic way back when, but whatever.

Lesse...I have questionable memory, somethings I can recall, other things I could have no idea about even though it might've happened recently. I can be doing something, wander off and start something else and forget about it.

I have a tendency to zone out at random times, often bad times, like that one time I was driving and nearly ran a red light in traffic...=_=;;

I think I've been mildly depressed my life, and I have some weird mood swings sometimes.

I can lie with a straight face.

I'm most often brutally blunt, sometimes cruel, oftentimes cynical.

I'm normally blank faced, which friends say makes me a bit unapproachable.

And apparantly I have a few weird accents that like to pop out everynow and then and I don't notice.

Pretty sure I have many more.

Don't worry about it. Seriously. I've had surgery eight times on my eyes and it's not that big of a deal. If you trust your doc, you should do fine. They (generally) know what they're doing.

...Except my first doc, of course. I found out last year that he had to surrender his licence because he was operating on patients while under the influence of drugs.

But most docs are not a problem. They want to help you.

1. I'm always yelling at my brother.
2. I never get along with my parents anymore.
3. I'm overweight, but I'm working on that. Sort of.
4. I can't stand it when people harshly critizise something that I said didn't need critisism on (my dad does that a lot to me).

Physical:

I have a very bad eyesight, the only thing that saves me is that I don't sway into either of the far-sighted or near-sighted category, so just one pair of contacts cures it, which I'm thankful for.

Premature greying - yep, My sister spotted gray and brown hair on me since I was 8. (Since I'm Asian, I should have all black hair). My hair is noticeably smokey gray if you see it under natural lighting.

I'm somewhat short, at 5 ft. 8, My younger sister is about a centimetre taller than me. But, since I seem to be right on at the average for my ethnicity on my age, I can't seem to complain.

Various skin problems, I have atopy around my arms that wouldn't go away, (minor problem that doesn't do anything) and I have patches of eczema on my fingers that reappeared after many years bothering me when I use pencils or pastels. It's dry and itchy.

Mental:

I procrastinate, a lot, I never seem to meet goals I set.

I'm always forgetful of things that people say to me.

I just can't seem to save money, and I always waste on little things like snacks and food.

im lazy and fail in most of my grades accept for band
im a tubbster (genetics to tha max here, damn this african decent [[im not being racist, i am of african decent ^^]])
how i shit up alot of my drawings and have to start all over again
umm, im a bit of a weirdo, but i have some great friends
umm, i like cheese?
im a bad speller
im too tall-but i have great legs XD
but i look great in nice clothes
but besides all that, im perfect in my own uniqe ways.
exsample, im a pretty good singer, piano player, tenor sax player, & im pretty good at drawing! Look at those things in life instead of things that make you sad!

and now to stop all this biching about our own bodys and think about something else of importance in the world. the more time you spend not smiling, is another minute lost. now get on with your lives and make the most of them!(ya see, i cant believe im being optomistic now!)
