I attempt to comment on pictures I like, but sometimes I feel as if I do so, it'll come out sounding like those 'OMGZZZZ! U SO R0XX0RZ!' comments, and so I tell myself to comment later. Yeah, I usually forget to. <_<

Heh... me too. After reading all of these posts complaining about fangirls I suddenly noticed that I might have submited stuff like that ... I disgust myself...
My profile has about a billion favorite pics and I've only given like 80 comments. I'm lazy... L-A-Z-Y. I can't help it. Like Jessie said, i'm afriad to post thos fangirlish comments. I used to be a hardcore Legolas fangirl. Don't get me wrong, I'm not this: "OMG, I like that one with the long hair, the blonde one with pretty eyes and a hot body" No no no, I hate that. gets on my nerves. (i was surrounded by them today: "Hey! That's the scary one, what's his name? Voldemort! And who's Bellatrix? Who? OH! That's Sirius...!) I'm a LotR geek... yup... anyway, like i said, i'm lazy. So I don't usually post comments, and i'm not a good critic person....

I try to comment on nearly every pic I look at... And I always try to say some nice, even if it's crap. It takes a lot of lip biting and restating things to do that...

But at least the fangirl comments make you realize that someone out there appriciates your work. I mean, I have alot of friends that really love it, but they're my friends, so yeah...

They're even more annoying in real life. I get glomped in certain hallways at school because of the fangirls that follow me.

I guess they serve the greater good by feeding young and feeble egos...

As I said before, I've gotten to the point where I just don't care anymore. None of the comments I get (save a few) are intelligible/meaningful, so all they're really worth is the minor ego boost that some tween who draws crummy InuYasha x Mary Sue pictures worships me.

And really, I don't care.

I'd prefer meaningful comments, but getting comments at all makes me happy. I have one picture with a view count of around 2,500 and it has two comments. Stuff like that makes me upset.

I just really can't stand the "OMG!!!!11!! U DRW SO GR8!!!3111!! DRW ME PLZ!!!!11!!" comments.

Any comment makes me happy, just to know someone's actually LOOKING at the pic and taking the time to leave one. But, I have also noticed the lack of comments. For example: I have a Harry Potter picture that I posted...oh...July/August-ish. Anyways, close to, if not over, 1000 views. About 5 comments, excluding the ones I left for myself. <_< And I agree. Even though I say kawaii sometimes, it's only when I REALLY like a picture. REALLY. It has to be mega cute for me to say something like that. Everytime I see something like "OMGZ THAS SO KAWAII!!!11!!!" I think a part of my brain collapses... O.o

I find it quite stupid when someone has 300+ views and no one took a minute or two out of their day to comment. People, critique drawings, the artists LOVE it! They appreciate the constructive critisism whether it is right or wrong. Sometimes they even justify the things you point out, but there is almost never any hard feelings.

Exactly! I don't care if someone calls the pic a piece of crap, so long as I get a comment! @_@ Right now, I'm that desperate. A flame is better than nothin' I suppose. *shrugs* Which is also another reason I'm thankful for my buddy, Tim. He was always first to comment on my pics, because I'd always tell him the moment they were up. ^_^ Cheers to my buddeh! ^o^

Who appreciates incorrect constructive criticism? :huh: If someone writes up a list of flaws that aren't there, that's just irritating and a waste of everyone's time. I don't appreciate being told something is wrong when it isn't.

The hard feelings are the exact reason most serious artists don't bother critiquing. Hobby artists (meaning the ones who purely draw for fun and have no intention of seriously working on it) don't want to be told anything other than how cute their art is, and the backlash from trying to help someone isn't worth it. There's tons of people throwing tantrums over perfectly helpful critiques.

I've also noticed that. They say something like "Please give me some constructive criticism" so you point out to them and they say "SCREW YOU YOUR JUST SOME CRAPPY ARTIST TRYIN TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO PISS OFF" ....or something to that effect ^_^''

No, it's not all InuYasha. Actually, only a handful of my pics are. Weird...Oh well. Most of it's OC's and such. A few of Shianne in there, a couple Kina's, Shikuru, etc. And Storm in his wolf form if I remember right. The rest is mostly random stuff.
