Actually, art thieves effect all legitimate artists on the site. Those who post official art, though much easier to spot and deal with, merely take up space and clutter the truly gifted pieces that are often far better than the official (pardon me for not being crazy about animation, it's just my opinion). With approval, no extremely obvious official pieces should be getting through, but we can't catch everything.

Those who post other people's art do the same, but at least then the comments are directed at an actual piece of fanart, regardless of the artist. Granted at the wrong one, but somehow, in my mind, a little better than "OMG UR GR8!!11" on some mass-distributed commercial image.

Bottom line, if there's stolen art on your account, you're gone. Your account, your responsibility. This isn't oekaki central where you can say "sorry, I didn't know." and come back.

Out of all the perspectives/explanations I've seen so far, I think Maridah's made the most sense to me.

On a side note, I've seen spam with better spelling/grammar than the person's e-mail.... And by all means, chalk me up as another artist who can't draw crap! I've never tried drawing crap.... Laughing

Oh really?? Hmmm...that's funny because all those people who bid on my art work at art auctions must be wrong. I'm glad you think it sucks (even though I don't believe you looked at it just like I don't believe anything else you say) so I don't have to be concerned about you taking it ^____^
As for B in art class...I attended an arts magnet high school...same one Nora Jones graduated from among other successfuls...We all auditioned to attend and thousands of people like [i]YOU[/i] get turned down every year.

I dont' think ANYONE who really draws would steal because they know how freaking hard it is to draw and how horrible having art stolen is.

I'm not even a bit suprised that he oppened another account to bitch about it. Theives love to do that, and I don't doubt his whole gallery was ripped >_< They usually are!

You are very right about the fact that if he actually [i]did[/i] make his own art, he wouldn't steal others.

Ah, but what do I know...according to him mine isn't worth stealing ^___^ despite the fact that he hasn't actually seen my work (He told me I needed to learn color even though my stuff is all CG'd and most certainly colored). He even has to lie when insulting Razz

gotta give credit where it's due. I'm glad you liked it! I think the site should start giving out awards for giving thieves the boot, but that will have to do for now ^_^
