FAC will not accept art with a High level of sexual content.

Shouldn't there be an announcement about this on the main page? Most FACers don't even visit the forums.

Yeah, I asked a person about what she was going to do with this new implementation [for lack of a better word, as my brain is failing me now...] and she completely exploded, asking me what I was talking about.
Same with another.
And a third, just read a post, and went off asking me what I meant. Quite the small riot.

Most of the FAC world has no freakin' clue.
And some might somehow not gotten the email/don't frequently check email. :/

Better post this.

and anyone who has drawn adult stuff got an email. tho i do think it should be announced at some point, for those who join later and dont know about HF

For the record, there are 1,177 artists on FAC with adult content (out of almost 60,000).

There are about 2,000 pictures (out of 300,000) and 3000 stories (many of which are over rated) (out of 16,500) that are affected by this change.

This really just isn't as big a change as some people are making it out to be.

This isn't banning nudity.
This isn't banning sexually suggestive content
This isn't banning scantily clad pictures.
This is just banning outright porn.

I can sympathize with you there, I was hoping we'd like announce it, then wait a week or so before kicking in the new policy, but... no turning back now.

Agreed there (for contrast: on dA, "no adult content", was part of their rules from the beginning). This comes as a big change to a small proportion (as denis pointed out, less than 1% of all FAC submissions) and it's going to receive a lot of attention now that it's upon the userbase so suddenly. It'll wash over eventually, but until then... keep your shields up.

This was actually not supposed to be announced at all (at least not for a week or so)

I was planning on just sending out the special newsletter and having the notice on the submission page to give the adult artists time to quietly move their art over. I dont really want to call this much public attention to the fac that FAC has adult art at all.

But since Strata made the announcement its public now.

I'll still be waiting a while before posting something on the front page tho.

People who visit Zakuman's art will notice he's taking his stuff down (to move to HF) and they'll complain... so he'll naturally tell them the deal if he wanted.

It was bound to happen sooner than later, as planned.

Though I still think this is great. FAC's buzzing and I'm loving it.

I love how Zakuman, the one everyone talks about, is taking this like a mature adult, as are... quite a few of FAC's hentai artists. The ones pitching fits are the little girls who shouldn't be drawing porn anyway~

The only thing is, I still think you'll need to do a bit more to get this out, denis... lots of people either don't check their email or didn't get this, and very few people on the mainsite visit the forums. So, I'm pretty sure lots of people out there still don't know. Sad

Too many people of FAC are underage. The less temptation for people to have to join, the less Denis has to ban.

I've been convinced. I suppose having a couple of drawings on that hentai site isn't so bad. You were right about a lot of children being on FAC. After all, I just had some annoying little brat post an "Eeeeewwww, gross" on one of my kissing pictures.

Only people with adult content got the news letter, so if they don't have any adult art, they wouldn't have received it.
