she can't say the word 'seashells' or 'chimney'.
I can't pronounce the word seashells. I always wind up saying "sheeshells"

This reminds me of this one time (then this one time, at band camp). I was pretending that I had a Scottish accent all day, and some people really thought I was Scottish....
That was weird.....
that is weird.

one of my friends went around tricking people into thinking he had an english accent. he seriously sounded like he was from England..

Heh, my Boston accent is so bad, even my friends make fun of me. (car=cah)
But the weirdest thing is that I don't say "New York" like a Bostonian, I say it like a New Yorker. My principle was from New York, so I kinda got used to it that way.

...My grandmom's from Italy, so when I was little I used to speak in broken english...with a boston accent, of course. ^_^

i have a tendancy to talk quickly, and even when i'm not i'll often trip over my words.

it also helps that i'm trying to learn both japanese and spanish right now.

the weirdest thing is i more often mispronounce english words than japanese or spanish ones.. WTF?

People around where I live have an accent called Pittsburgese. I only have a slight accent. We say things different and call things weird names. . . Laughing

I have a hard time figuring out what kind of accents people have, but I usually figure it out eventually.

Well, for a Wisconsinite, I guess I'm not too norml. Japanese and Chinese is quite simple to pic out. I do own 2 horses, like most WI people dont (mostly stupid B/W cows!), and I ride all over in my hometown.

my accent from the great Del Val has been said to sound like Stallone from the Rocky movies. I even have the deep voice too! well he was trying to imitate the largest cities accent from the area "Philadelphia", I come from the second largest (just a little north and on the other side of the river) Trenton!

Yo, waz up duudes! whacha talkin' 'bout. dat aint eavin funnae. ma bad.

really wierd when I go somewhere else and get instantly pegged for a Philly person, then I know that the person Im talking to has at least been somewhere around here! and everyone in Joisey dosnt speek with the same accent. you gotta remember that this little state has one of the largest populations in this country, and its the most densly populated, so its only really big states like California and Texas and larger ones with unusually large cities like NYC and Philly that have more people! if you go to the "greater northeast" (what the hell is sooo great Im trying to figure out for 40+ years) they sound kinda like New York City res, and if you go to the shore its different. the Pinnies are like your in a different world, and the you have the Princetonians (I think their from another planet)!

what a ramblin bit of useless knowledge! oh, just watch ATHF and listen to Carl to here the Greater Northeast accent, then listen to Stallone in Rocky to hear the Del Val one!

eh...no thanks. Not a big fan of that stuff. Just an annoying person waiting for someone to talk to me.
