Bad aftertaste? Gotta try those...
I get Pocky at Suncoast at our local mall, it's 75 cents.... Gosh, the lady at the check out counter gave me this really odd look when I cleaned out their stock. But there was only like 12 boxes...
I have to try that Yan Yan stuff, I have to check Suncoast for it, they are the only place I can find Japanese food at. Ramune? What does it taste like? _________________ If I was anymore hardcore, I'd be arrested. |

Aww, England doesn't have pocky in it? That sucks... You can always use Ebay....
woah 12 BOXS!!!! ALL THAT SUGARY GOODNESS
Yeah, and I ate it in like two days, only becaause my sis stole like 2 boxes and I had to rip them out of her hands and then forced her to ask nicely. After that I gave her the two boxes because I was majorly bored...

Yes, Yan Yan is absolutely better! I hate that frost your own brownie crap... Is Italian soda really that bitter? Or is it gritty? Hmmm.... So I wonder how long 30 boxes of Pocky would last this topic(I mean if we were sitting here talking to each other)? Maybe five seconds? _________________ If I was anymore hardcore, I'd be arrested. |

Yan Yan's okay, but I always run out of the dipping stuff before I run out of the biscut sticks (yeah, note: they're not cookies, they're biscits)
I love Japanese snacks n.n I like the "decorative" pocky (BIG NOTE!!! it's pronounced Pocky as in "Poke-y". o.o so bad when kids come in to Nakayama and say "Pahk-y")
I'm really good friends with this family that runs the little Japanese shop, Nakayama (the wife's maiden-name).
In fact, I'm teaching their oldest son (5 years old) English. I'll teach Haitai (2 years old) once he's old enough. They come over at least once a week to play and stuff.
My favorite Japanese snack has to be those chocolate pancake things. It's two mini pancakes with chocolate filling between them.
Ramune is awesome n.n but some companies are better than others. I like the strawberry kind best.
Calpis is really good too. But when they bring it to America they rename it "Calpico" lol I think you can guess why
There are also these really really good cookies we had in Japan, but I can't remember the name.
They've got lots of really great chips and stuff n.n
lol
Either when I go teach there or if I can take that semester at Okayama U I'm probably going to gain so much weight just munching on the snacks all the time.
Japan's really big on ice cream over there (IT'S NOT CALLED "SWEET SNOW" >:{ ) which is either "aisu kuriimu" *ice cream*, "aisu" *ice*, or "sofuto kuriimu" *soft cream*
Most of the restaurants we saw/went to had a couple of menu items, and then like 20 different types of sundae's and stuff n.n lol Including these HUGE parfaits that usually were called "The King parfait" or "Super Parfait" lol stuff like that.
as far as ice cream flavors go, they basically have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and green tea (you'll find some places with watermelon and anko and stuff like that) but then take those 4 flavors and make a bajillion sundaes out of them n.n lol
o.o
....
I want to go baaaaaaaaack!!!! |

Anyone tried "Fran"? n.n it's like Pocky but a different company. It's REALLY good
