Why Do People Bash My Music?

god that's so true it's depressing... jeezus christ what is wrong with people? there are indeed so many amazing bands that make great, unique music but don't get much appreciation because they're "different" or are just unheard of. feh.

and even tho it's great that the boyband thing is fading, what's replacing it is almost worse. i can't stand all these horribly fake, untalented bands taking over. it really can't be good for children to listen to such utter crap.

Very true. At least with the boybands it was painfully obvious they didn't write their own music and did nothing but dance around and "sing". These new pop punk and nu metal bands have kids thinking they're amazingly talented because they can play two power chords. . . . .

And writing a song about how much your life sucks is so hard. Throw in a couple flowery gothic cliches n' you've got yourself a number one hit.

[i]exactly![/i] that's what really pisses me off. with boy bands and girls, there's no question that they can't write or play instruments- lol it was such a big deal when bsb played some of their own instruments. and everyone was impressed with michelle branch and vanessa carlton because (gasp!) they played instruments [i]and[/i] wrote their own music! but now because they can strum a guitar and form words that rhyme, these faux-punk bands think they have something special? pshaw! show me some skimpy outfits and sexy choreography, and [i]maybe[/i] we'll talk

probably osme ridculous amount like 300 grand.... it wouldnt surprise me

any way i like alot of new stuff but i like alot of old stuff too (as ive said before)

One "oldies" band that i really like is Styx.. not allot of people have ever heard of them.... and i like pink floyd and led zeplin

and lynrd Skynrd (i think that's how it's spelled)

i like some of that music too. But if someone bashes it, i could care less. Everyone has there own opinions. I like Styx, too.

Led Zepplin and Styx are cool, but Three Days Grace does over use the punk/ goth image, Linkin Park simply made a hybrid that shouldn't have been created, and the others, I don't listen to period. There will always be people who dislike your music. Your task is to not be bothered by it. You can hold out for universal popularity and lock yourself in your room until it happens, but it will be a very, very long wait.
