FAC will not accept art with a High level of sexual content.

A related issue, do we crack down on gratuitous nudity, or not? Artistic nudity (i.e. incidental or symbolic to the theme of the picture) is one thing, but a lot of nude pics have little more purpose than a "Look ma, boobies!"

I believe nudity should be blocked to an extent. Not that my opinion matters.

I think anything that can be mistaken by a more lenient parent for "porn" should be relocated to the hentai site.

Example; a drawing of a nature fairy that happens to be nude, a nude figure study, an angsty, symbolic fanart, etc. would be considered acceptable, but a drawing of a naked chick with large tits standing in a suggestive pose winking and/or blushing would not.

I dunno. :/

I'm sorry, but this new policy makes little sense. If you're going to cut out those options, why even have them available when uploading? At least find a way to remove the "explicit" options to save time for people. And what happens to all the previously uploaded art with those criteria? Automatic deletion? Confused

EDIT: So, explicit racism, swearing, nudity and violence is perfectly fine, but explicit sex is a no-no? That's absurd.

Way to pay attention. Artists have the chance to move the art on their own, afterwards it will all be deleted from fac.

Don't take that tone with me, I read all of that, and it's still a bizarre decision you've made. It's quite hypocritical, seeing as all the other explicit categories still exist.

Since this is an "all-ages-accessible site", taking away explicit sex but keeping explicit racism, violence, nudity and profanity seems bizarre to me. I'll move that stuff, of course, but it's still a very arbitrary decision. Confused

No it's not. You can say f[color=black]u[/color]ck as many times as you want in an R rated movie. Nearly any level of violence you want. And PG13 is still quite graphic.

Throw a boner in there and it's nc17. Graphic sexual content is the LEGAL problem, not a moral one. No one is going to get on anyone's case for work that has dirty words in it or someone being shot. That's on daytime television.

You have to look at it from a legal perspective, that's why only graphic sexual content is moved. If you'd paid attention as you claim, you'd know that.

Well, that just makes it worse. The explicit sexuality part might get this site in trouble legally, but everything else is still acceptable, even if the same kids can find it. Now it just seems hilarious. Razz

What I don't understand is that people like "spleefmistress" who would have gotten that email are still posting hentai. Do they think it's a joke or something? I mean, it's gonna be taken down soon, right?
I've already begun posting my couple pictures on HF. I think I'm over the initial shock now.

Hentai submissions (ones with a sex level of high) were blocked shortly before the email was sent.

If people are still submitting such then either there is a bug in the blocking or they are misrating their pictures.
