Hold on a minute, wait, wait, wait, wait! Big, when you say big, do you mean just drawn really big, or just sized really big on the computer once it's scanned in?

big in the computer. Paper drawing size doesn't mean much.
Well if you draw small detail will be harder i guess, but you know your own handdrawing skills I guess.
In other news, I got a paypal donations link up. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

Big: Make one inch equal 300 pixels. Or if you draw big on paper, less. Measure or estimate how big you think the front of an average shirt is (like a mens medium or large, not baby dolls ) and multiply the number of inches by 300 then scan you image to be about that big. Actual printing minimum for decent quality is about 150, but the quality only gets better the bigger the file. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Comic and Art someones gotta tell me how to put my avatar in the proper space....unless I did do this right!
I was going to really mention about the whole shirt idea. I dont know (because I didnt read all the posts here) if fanart was nixed from the idea of putting art on the shirts. I think pocket tees with a fanart logo on the pocket is a good idea with a piece of art on the back with a fanart logo. I would have NO problem with putting my art on it. Its advertisement for the site and my art at the same time.
I really hope someone helps me with this avatar thing! I feel like a dork asking, but being an industrial manager for 19 years my saying is "the only stupid question is the one not asked".

um if you go to "my controls" at the top of the forums page and click "edit avatar settings" (in the list at the left of the page), then you can upload a pic from your computer or post a url to get the image from. or you can do it thru your profile by clicking your member name and going to "avatar options"
hope that helps, dabear! o and i like that saying. _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

You know, I can't help but envision Chris Farley "dancing" with a grass skirt n' coconuts every time I see your name. Da bears, da bears, da bears, da bears... That particular skit was da bulls (I think), but who really cares about particulars.
Some fanart would be ok, others not. Depends on the series and who owns the rights to it (whether they don't care or are psycho-protective like Anne Rice and that Pern lady). I think once there's some logos submitted, a mascot chosen, and all the other stuff to make basic products that just have the logo and/or mascot on 'em, there'll be more submissions to the "product design" 'contest' thread where people can submit their design for the front and/or back of a shirt. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Chris Farley...omg. The stupid nickname came from an old girlfriend that had a bad accent. She couldnt say "the" so it came out "da"...hense DaBear. Ok being serious, the art I was mentioning I own the rights to. Its my Angels Inc comic characters that I copywrote. I sent dennis a banner with them on it. He might not use it because I put the d*mn copyright on everything. Looks kinda dumb, but this site has brought quite a few people to my site and it was a thank you. Oh, Fallen are you the artist that drew the Dead pic for your dad? If so thats awsome, I was a big Cooper fan back then. I thought that picture was awsome but it sure shows my age.

Then yeah, long as the owners are cool with it (in this case, you) just about any art is free game. There's a thread in the contest forum to post product designs.
And yep, that was mine. Pops turns 50 in July...he's like a little kid right now because a coworker loaned him a biography DVD of the Dead. We'll never get him out from in front of the tv for the next two weeks. He's got a few early Cooper albums, a couple Sabbath ones, some Led Zep, all of it on vinyl. We have an agreement that I get his collection when he loses his hearing. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
