Spinal Tap has plenty of age to it. It's a classic. "It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none...none more black" I love Nigel. Yay.
Actually, one of my favorite lines relates to people who blow off crits:
Marty: "This tasteless cover is a good indication of the lack of musical invention within. The musical growth of this band cannot even be charted. They are treading water in a sea of retarded sexuality and bad poetry."
Nigel: That's just nitpicking, isn't it?
Now I need to go watch that again. Dammit. Still can't believe none of you got it. Sad sad sad. Missin' out on a classic.

Spinal Tap dosnt even go back to my school years. yeah 20 years is a classic to cars......Id like to see something out of the two decades before that. whats classic to one sure as hell might not be to another. _________________ 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. A classic doesn't have to be overly old. It's still a classic.
Since this thread died, fine. Here's some new lyrics that hopefully will better meet such high standards.
So you're a little bit older and a lot less bolder
Than you used to be
So you used to shake 'em down
But now you stop and think about your dignity
So now sweet sixteen's turned thirty-one
You get to feelin' weary when the work day's done
Well all you got to do is get up and into your kicks
If you're in a fix
Come back baby
You better get yourself a partner
Go down to the concert or the local bar
Check the local newspaper
Chances are you won't have to go too far
Yeah the rafters will be ringing cause the beat's so strong
The crowd will be swaying and singing along
And all you got to do is get in, into the mix
If you need a fix
Come back baby
Oh the bands still playing it loud and lean
Listen to the guitar player making it scream
All you got to do is just make that scene tonight
Hey tonight
Well now sweet sixteen's turned thirty-one
Feel a little tired, feeling under the gun
Well all Chuck's children are out there playing his licks
Get into your kicks
Come back baby
Said you can come back baby

Here, this should be easy ^_^ :
Take a bow
Pack on powder
Wash 'em out with buzzing lights
Pay an audience to care
"Impress me" personality
Still and transfixed
The electric sheep are dreaming of your face
Enjoy you from the chemical
Comfort of America
Come one, come all
Into 1984
Yeah, three, two, one
Lights, camera, transaction
Quick, your time is almost up
Make all forget that they're the moth
Edging in towards the flame
Burn into obscurity |

why thank you Alex...here goes:
I dont want to see you go
I dont even want to be there
I will cover up my eyes
and pray it goes away
Youve only lived a minute of your life
I must be dreaming please stop screaming
I dont like to hear you cry
You just dont know how deep that cuts me
So I will cover up my eyes
and it will go away
Youve only lived a minute of your life
I must be dreaming please stop screaming
(nos)
(nos) I hear my name
(nos) is someone callin me I hear my name
(nos) that icy breath that whispers screams of pain
I dont want for you to die
but if thats the way God has planned you
Ill put pennies on your eyes
and it will go away...see
Youve only lived a minute of your life
I must be dreaming
(nos) is someone calling me...no
(nos) I hear a voice
(nos) I hear my name
(nos) someone callin me I hear my name
(nos) what do you want
(nos) What Do You Want, What Do You Want, What Do You Want, ahhh!
(nos)
(nos)
(nos) I hear my name!
great song for the assylum...(nos) is name of song
name it and the artist and for extra credit the album.
not bad for writting this from memory. _________________ 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.' - Ronald Reagan |

Haha, yeah, you can't write me off as a hairsprayed, acid-washed, purely hair metal fan. Cooper, The Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Sabbath, the list of non hair metal things I like goes on and on.
Hair metal just stands out more. Nobody cares if you like Aerosmith, but say you like Warrant and there's always a very...interesting reaction. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

o thanks! er i really don't know what you guys will or won't know... um here's a really good song from the 90s. it was a pretty popular one-hit wonder deal
one, two princes kneel before you
(that's what i said now)
princes, princes who adore you
(just go ahead now)
one has diamonds in his pockets
(and that sounds great now)
this one, said he wants to buy you rockets
(ain't in his head now)
this one, he's got a princely racket
(that's what i said now)
got some big seal upon his jacket
(ain't in his head now)
you marry him, your father will condone you
(how 'bout that now)
you marry me, your father will disown you
(he'll eat his hat now)
marry him, or marry me
i'm the who loves you, baby can't you see?
i ain't got no future or family tree
but i know what a prince and lover ought to be
i know what a prince and lover ought to be
so if you want to call me baby
just go ahead now
and if you want to tell me maybe
just go ahead now
and if you wanna buy me flowers
just go ahead now
and if you'd like to talk for hours
just go ahead now
yea... um various parts of the song get repeated but that's the basic song. sorry if parts are wrong- i just did it from memory. i hope someone knows it... _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

Spin Doctors - Two Princes...^^
Here's on you guys might not have heard of...
Hands are red with your blame
Megaphone screaming my name
Whimpers someone I should've loved
Souls weeping above
I've seen what you're doing
Destroying puppet strings
To my soul
It's by one of my favorite bands so I hope you guys get it!!!! |

I feel I gotta get away
bells chime
I know I gotta get away
and I know if I dont
Ill go outta my mind
better leave her behind
when (*****)

I know, I know! But I believe I know who you're talking about and will give her a chance to answer, since I'll be gone for the next five days anyway. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
