Actually, no. Most Canadians in central/eastern Canada have barely an inkling what the west coast looks like. Most students forget that Vancouver Island even exists. Likewise, all we Vancouverites know about Saskatchewan, from what EN1X has seen, is that "it's big... and flat."

Besides, just because it's in your own country doesn't mean you have to know about it, especially given the size of the place. Gotta experience it before you know anything about it, especially since most people don't bother learning about other places in their own country. A foreign country? Sure, the customs and culture must be really different, couldn't hurt to find out. Another city in your own country? Likely the same customs, so who cares? :0

Heh, I kinda lucked out in that regard... my mom's family is from the Western side of the Canada and my Dad's is from the East. I'm from way up north in Manitoba, but I live in Southern Ontario for school, so I've pretty much seen the whole country, top to bottom, coast to coast.

Canada just has so many different climates and everything...blah
I've been to Ontario, Alberta and Quebec, and they're all different.
In May when I went, Ontario was humid and kind of hard to breathe in 'cause of the smog =/
Alberta was nice and very dry, and fairly warm.
Quebec was very green and the temperature was fair, but it smelled funny there...

South Manitoba is...humid and temperatures go psychotic, so you never know what you're going to get.

Yes! Not to mention the fact that the provinces were kinda founded by different people at different times...

OK, OK, I get the idea! though Russia is not that far from Syria, and I kinda know many people here who are married to Russians lol! Actually there is a good percentage of people who come from the former Soviate Union territories that live among us here in Syria *notices the intimidating looks in Squidman and Kitzy's eyes*.....but I don't know much about them...I mean I don't know anything about them....I mean...did I say there were Russians among us???

I'm from Pakistan, but SO many people think I'm Hispanic/Spanish at first glance. I've had SO many people try to speak Spanish to me and I'm like... "huh?" Confused

I couldn't respond to them with even one or two words; I've never taken a Spanish class; I took French. But I moved to the U.S when I was like one or two years old, so... Anyway, I used to visit Pakistan every summer, but because I'm a full-time student in college now, I haven't been able to visit for a while. Unfortunately I suck at speaking Urdu (my native tongue); yes, very sad. I can READ Arabic, but it's not like I can speak it on a daily basis. Oh well...
