And it's in Texas... and the movie was pathetic. What's worse is that Brodie was in it. I never thought he would play such a lousy role, but at least he did the cliche psychotic ghost-induced murderer better than I would have expected from anyone else.
Now, I don't appreciate any horror movie except for The Exorcist. That I appreciate because it's based on a true story, and it's hilarious. My cousin, on the other hand, adores horror movies. It was her birthday, so we went to see it. She screamed during the movie, and I laughed. *Spoiler* There's even a scene toward the end where a guy who looks like Vampire Hunter D is in their basement and cuts his throat. the entire ghost bit was started because Native Americans were tortured there years and years ago...
*starts laughing all over again* I'm not sure when they're going to realize that mystery stories always ruin horror movies. That's why the best one to date is The Others. Surprise ending. Mysteries give you clues throughout, and for those of us who are a bit sharper, while I think horror movies are apparently meant for a low-level audience, the mystery is figured out about ten minutes into the show.
Any thoughts on this trash heap or earlier trash heaps? Yeah, I hear the book was good... Horror books are at least typically scarier because I think most of us have better imaginations that these directors :/ |

I was planning on seeing this film, but I think I'll go find the original instead. I'm going to avoid it's sequel though. How many good horror sequels have there ever been? _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

That movie was disappointing, like most horror movies. Yet I keep watching them and never learning.

yeah it wasn't the best or maybe even close but it was much better than these other pieces of s**t that have come out recently
eg. hide and seek.. i actually left halfway through to have a smoke so thatitself states my thoughts of it
the ring 2 wasn't much better either
and boogeyman.... <_<
i enjoyed the grudge though and i'm kinda planning on going to that new film "house of wax". it seemed pretty decent besides the fact paris hilton is in it

One thing history has shown us is you don't need to act to be in a horror film. Just scream, and be really REALLY stupid. _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

Your sentence has no grammar, but I will assume you were asking if it was only the original movie that was filmed in Texas or if it is the house itself. My answer- in such a case- would be that I believe Ametyville itseelf is in Texas, but I wouldn't put my life on it. I got that from someone who thought Texas won the battle of the Alamo. |

Oh I'm so sorry I must have been in a hurry. Well um I think the real house was in New York because I'm from New york and all my friends say stories about the house. |
