oook, this is for all you hopeless romantics out there (if there are any here...)
just list your top 5 favourite love songs. mine are:

"everlong" by the foo fighters ("breathe out, so i can breathe you in"- god i love that line! amazing song thru and thru, gives me chills)
"i'll catch you" by the get up kids (such a beautiful song...)
"old hat" by harvey danger
"wonderwall" by oasis
"for you to notice" by dashboard confessional

ok... i lied. it's not gonna be a top 5, because i have more to add. so screw it and list as many as you want! the others i have are "yellow" by coldplay, "hold" by saves the day, "your song" by elton john, "two princes" by the spin doctors, and "echo" by incubus.

Lol there are about a bilion love songs i can anme, since that's pretty much all i listen to... First thing i thought of when read the topic was, "Can you Feel the Love Tonight?" By Elton John....

Rawr, i really don't have a top 5, but i can say the one i love to listen to most that seems like one that would be on the top 5 is the song "All My Life" by K.C. and Jo Jo. I get soo moody, and i feel pity for myself. Surprised Another song would be "Back to 1 Again" by Brian McKnight. I personally don't take a liking too much to it, but hell, i know all the words...
Major soft rock, some J-pop, and yada yada. Love songs galore. The group that has made one of the most funky and "memorable"/Annoying ones are either the N'sync group or Backstreet Boys. To me, they can share the trophy. I got most their albums :x Bad Sanoshi...

Uh oh, love songs. You know the sappy power ballad is a must, so I could probably list a lot. A good deal smaller if you don't include songs that are just about sex, not love. I'll try. Razz

"Sweet Child O' Mine" - Guns n' Roses. Corny? Yeah. So bad Slash hated it and thought everyone else would? Yep. But it obviously works, since Axl wrote it for his then girlfriend, Erin, to convince her not to leave his abusive arse. She married him. There's a lesson for all you personality-challenged guys out there: learn to write songs.

"I Won't Forget You" - Poison. Technically about their family when they moved from Penn. to LA, but it's the same idea.

"Love In an Elevator" - Aerosmith. Come on, it has love in the title. *cough*

"Love Stinks" - as performed by Adam Sandler in The Wedding Singer.

Come on, those last two...involved love... Rolling eyes

"Mama, I'm Coming Home" - Ozzy

"Until You Suffer Some (fire and ice)" - Poison (Native Tongue/sans C.C.) "I can't stand to see no more damage done, yeah, but you'll never understand until you suffer some"

"Patience" and "November Rain" - Guns n' Roses

I'll have to think about some others that are love songs, not sex ones. :P

MORE: "Only Time Will Tell" - Poison, one of the four new tracks released on Swallow This Live

"you're in love" - RATT "you're struck by lightning...you're in love..."

My favorite lovesong is:

"Angel's Laluby" by Brad Paisley.

Its a love song but its so freakin' sad! Its about some guy who had his heart broken so he trys to forget her by drinking. He gets too drunk and kills himself. The chick that broke his heart blames herself and so she drinks to try to forget him. She gets too drunk and kills herself. The chorus of the song is:

"We burried her beside him, beneath the willow,
And the angels sang a wiskey Lalaby, Lalalalalalala, Lalalalalaaaa."

Its really sad but its still a good love song.

Just a few lol sorry ^^

I'm terrible at remembering song titles and band names... luckily though my numbah one favorite love song happens to be from my favorite band as well ^^

"Lovers in a Dangerous Time" by Bare Naked Ladies. I could listen to that song twenty times in row and not get bored of it. ^^

My list would look like that if love was equal to sex. Don't suppose "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and "Where There's a Whip, There's a Way" can count as love. <_<

lol uhhh i guess love can be considered sex, but yea i was thinking more along the lines of emotional love, because there are many beautifully written love songs out there. (some aren't so eloquent, tho).

heh i did the same thing kate did and went thru my library to find some others

"stellar" by incubus
"friday i'm in love" and "boys don't cry" by the cure
"magazines" by brand new
"with david bowie" by veruca salt (aww a love song just for him)
"february stars" and "aurora" by the foo fighters
"dressed to kill" by new found glory
"the scientist" by coldplay
"nightingale" by saves the day
"i will buy you a new life" by everclear
"i hear you calling" by gob
"hear you me" by jimmy eat world

as for sex songs... definitely "closer" by nine inch nails and "darling nikki" - i've never heard the original prince song, but the foo fighters cover is just awesome

Nah, I'm far too lazy to list the hundreds of sex songs. 80s= sexs, drugs, and rock n' roll, so there's about 13 years full of songs to list and a very small fraction about squishy love. And that's the way I like it. But here's some more:

"Don't Walk Away" - Danger Danger
"I Still Think About You" - Danger Danger
"One Step From Paradise" - Danger Danger
"Never Enough" - LA Guns
"Girls Of Porn" - Mr. Bungle Cool It's about self love.
"I Remember You" - Skid Row
"Deuces Wild" - Aerosmith
"How You Gonna See Me Now" - Alice Cooper
"Muscle Of Love" - Alice Cooper. Rolling eyes *cough*
"That's The Way I Like It" - Poison ("when a girl goes down...that's the way I like it...ain't nothin' you can do when the girls goes down..." perhaps this would be well suited for our club's themesong Very Happy)
"Hero" - Ozzy Osbourne (it's actually a hidden track, so that's the working title)
"See You On The Other Side" - Ozzy
"Want Some, Need Some" - Poison
"The Last Song" - Poison
"Good Love" - Poison *ahem* another stretch. "well I roll her over in the middle of the night, and I rock my baby till the mornin' light, get her hot...good love"
"I'm The One" - Van Halen
"Women In Love" - Van Halen
"Don't Cry" both versions - Guns n' Roses
"I Used To Love Her" - Guns N' Roses ("I used to lover her, but I had to kill her, I had to put her six feet under...and I can still hear her complain..." What? That's very romantic for Axl... Wink) "I knew I'd miss her, so I had to keep her, she's buried right in my backyard"
"Promises" - Def Leppard

Meh, I'm bored now. Most of those walk the line (or step over it) from love to lust, but that's ok. Very Happy
