well, some people join for the forums. I posted 1 pic b/c my friend told me it was good. Until I get a scanner, u wont find any more of my pics. i also signed on to comment on others pics when I'm incredibly bored.

Agreed. I hate that on all sites when people submit things that aren't even a picture just to announce something. "OMFG!!! U PPL R SOOOO MEAN!" or "YAY! 500th PAGEVIEW!" with a happy face. Come on, now...

Well recently fairygirly did this... and I don't mind that she did. She's always been really nice. Always commenting on my work and stuff.. and for all the comments she put out she rarely got any in return.. not that i commented all that much... Smile

But I agree that it does seem like a cry for attention, and just a way of feeling sorry for yourself. I go to theotaku.com and all my stuff gets voted like 60% and I get no comments. So what... just means I have to try harder and get better. It's all about improving. So when ya see these goodbye posts.. offer them a tissue and tell them to move on Smile

Yesh, I've been noticing that some people are impatient with the lack of commenting thing. When I first arrived, I went through the archives and posted comments on a lot of pictures, some of which were maybe over half a year old ^_^;

And I'm sure that's happened to a lot of people. The comments can just keep coming...not all *BAM* appear in an instant.

..and getting them all at once takes the surprise and fun out of getting them at random =)

But I ain't gettn all teary eyed and leavn deviant art because of it. Just work on your drawings... and you probably still won't get comments Smile

Do comments really matter though? From some people you don't even know.

The trick to getting comments I've found (and I'm new here), is to comment on everybody's! Like in the recent pictures list, I comment on all of the pictures, and I've found that ever since doing that, I've been getting alot of comments in return =P

God people! If people are going to look at me or anyone else in this topic for sympathy they wont get it. I dont get tons of comments but you dont see me crying do you. I mean screw it...if you dont get comments and your whining you probably cant take critisism or any thing else....Its not negative if you dont get comments. I dont mean to sound like a bitch but SUCK IT UP PEOPLE! man....that is my worst peeve...when people whine at me i get ugly. Grr!

Comments are always awesome- that's why I try to comment on most everything I like. However, I wouldn't want any pitty comments. I want my art recognized for what it is.
