Look at this I first noticed while searching for Axl Rose stuff and saw a "painting" of him that had a few bids. Granted all those listed are prints of the "painting", but that's because the "originals" don't exist. They're friggin' filtered photos! Can these people not tell? No painting looks like that. Surely some of you who paint, and even those who don't, can see they're cheap photoshop filters supposedly making them look like a painting. And those morons actually buying them. That guy definitely figured out a good scam. <_<

Good scam is right considering anyone acutually does buy them. I may not be the best when it comes to computer art, but even I could do that. Painting has gotta be one of my biggest hobbies and I've never come across a technique that could assist in that style while keeping the bright color.

technically you can take a pic thats not copywritten and mutulate it and call it your art. being a photographer Ive taken mulipule faces and cloned them (alot better that that sh*t) and you would really have to look to see if it was a scam. I never would sell that crap though, its like a big joke to me (put like Joey Ramone and Howard Stern together) they are twins...I think they came from the same egg.

just goes to show how gulable people are. good one Fallen.

Yeah, but most of those are promo or official shots. No way they contacted all the photographers for persmission and rights to sell them. And they're technically violating policy by lying about what the product is, but if people want something as ugly as most of those are, good for them. They deserve to be ripped off.

EDIT: Noticed there were some real paintings added, but there are still some obvious manipulations. If the others were truly paintings, they were edited heavily in photoshop before printing. <_<
