What's The Purpose Of This?

May I ask why we need our name in brackets beside our nick? I'm not complaining or anything, but it doesn't seem to serve any purpose, ne?

Maybe it's for when people refer to you and your real name is easier to remember than your screen name. I dunno. Just a guess.

But do you see my real name? No, ha ha! I shall remain un-named... well actually I've said my real name maybe once somewhere in the forums so if you look for it you may find it o.O...
'Sides what could be easier to remember then DG? Tis just two letters. Well I suppose it would be easier if it was just D but then I would be copying Count D from Petshop of Horrors! *gasp!* Or if my name was just G... but then that wouldn't make any sense would it? WTF?

It's not your real name, it's the name you have registered, use to the main site of FAC to submit artwork under. Some people use their real names some don't. My name for submitting artwork was GenesisEve (a name i user commonly) but i was using lasher in the forums, so if i hadn't had that changed, instead of saying Lasher {Lasher} it would say Lasher {GenesisEve} just for an example.

It's so people can tell who you are on the forum, and on the main site. As some peoipe use two different names for either one, so it can make it easier to find a person, to look at their art, or what they posted. etc etc.

Uh, the registered FAC name is the one [i]not[/i] in brackets.

And yeah, it is a lot more convenient with the people who have long ass names.
