Flash Pics

I'm having trouble submitting flash animations. It says .swf pics always appear broken, but when I try to submit, this comes up:

ERROR, Can't determind filetype of image reported as 'application/octet-stream' 242018

Is it something I'm doing wrong or is it the site?

Well you have to Export As.. .jpg

.swf images aren't really very good. Easier to just upload .jpgs.

Well if you export the image as jpg or png, you can change the levels compression altering the quality/size for better or worse.

Jpeg typically has a better ratio of quality to filesize.

a jpeg with a quality of like 80 or 90 looks very good.

FAC's thumbs use a quality of 75

For me, I have my JPEG quality set at 80. Plus progressive compression.
