how do you add a bmp picture on to the site? i know you can because i saw some pictures were from ms paint and thats all i have now till i get my self a scanner, i tryed to add one of my ms paint drawings but didnt work so i need help |

Just because it's drawn on ms paint doesn't mean it's a bitmap. When you save your image go to the little drop down arrow under the file name. Save your picture as a .jpg file. Bitmaps are 20 times larger than jpegs (memory-wise), so they take up a lot more space. It's best to save low memory images to large sites such as this, so that's possibly why it won't accempt a .bmp file. _________________ [url=http://starrust.com][img]http://starrust.com/images/linksout/starrust2.gif[/img][/url] |

Its usually better to save the type of art done in ms paint as a gif. If unsure, try both and see which looks better.
Not all versions of windows will let you save as gif or jpg in ms paint. If you can't, open the bmp in another program, and save it as a jpeg. Almost any graphics program should allow that. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |
