How can I get a custom title thing?

| As the title says, I'm thinking about getting the Half-Life games. Would it be better if I buy the first and second games, and then play through them in order, or just buy the second game and just play it? |

Do not even think about passing on the first game. To do would be an affront to the gods of computer gaming. Just remember, every time a person doesn't play Half-life 1, Jesus kills a kitten.
