I found this site while I was looking for stolen art, I'm depressed.
I thought it was a site just like FAC, just more evil and more German, but this is the first picture I see Tsubasa fanart.
They have about 20000 members, which is 10000 less than us _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

I think it's because they have fewer fangirls? (Dunno, just guessing. )
They also have site navigation in English, btw. _________________

Uh, did you go into the main lists, though? http://animexx.4players.de/fanarts/?doc_mo...pdays=7&seite=2 Their art doesn't look much different than FAC. Are you sure you didn't just click the equivalent of DA's "sort by favorites" option, it being in german and all?
On a more or less unrelated note, German is a funny language. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

maybe so, but Few random artists out of a alphabetized hat looked WAY better than FAC's :(
EDIT: I'm taking German this semester , Hopefully, knowing French and English will be somewhat helpful. _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

nice picture. I didn't know we were in competition with another art site. And who knows, maybe they have been around alot longer than FAC, so their member count may be decieving. Plus, who cares. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

Eh, the art quality really looks about the same to me in the uploads list. As does the ratio of crap to gold. FAC probably has around 20 really top shelf artists (including no longer active or ones with very small galleries), a ton of good ones, and then the majority of beginners. A great piece there seems very rare in the general list. I think you just happened to find popular artists on your first try. Like someone finding Seifer-sama's work first here. Or Pu-Sama or Nimra's work first at DA.
I'm not getting in any wars with people I don't understand or who speak a language I know minimal insults in. If it were a Spanish site, then it'd be on. But German just makes me laugh. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

spanish makes me laugh. and lol, I was going to bring up seifer-sama in my other post. but I went for the dry humor "who cares" instead.
There are plenty of other art sites out there, with good art work. Just a little while ago, I was searching through someones links of art sites, and there were tons of sites with really good cg anime stuff. Like when I was a kid, I was always the best 'drawer' in the classroom, then one time, I find this guy who drew better than i did, and he was younger. It hurt, but it helped me with my thinking i was the best ever. And that kept me level headed and ready to learn new things. I eventually eccepted the fact that people younger (and anyone actually) can be better than me on so many levels, that's why I don't hate fallen for her talent, because I know it happens very often. I'm not the best, and I will never be. Why do we need so much competition? I just made a thread about having no competition! _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

Spanish makes me laugh too, but I know it. All I can say in German is shit, and I probably can't spell it right. La madre de James tiene el sexo con una cabra.
I still have a girl on my watchlist on DA, even though she hasn't uploaded in probably a year, but she could do these crazy oekakis and was only 15 (I'd have thought they were fake if they were just digital pieces, but I saw a couple on oekaki central on her account, so they were real), and I was 16 at the time. Alas, younger and better.
I compare myself to people who are 50-years-old and been drawing all their life. Which is wrong, but still...I wanna draw that way now, dammit. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

That row is the "Lieblingsbilder" -row and that word simply means "favorite pics" nothing more, that is like the daily favs. of this site. I think I am member there.. or was, have to check, maybe they deleted me already because of being inactive.
"Aber sonst ist die Qualitt recht hoch, wrd ich mal sagen, generell laden die weniger rauf, aber ist eben nur was fr extreme Fans dieses Stils, den sie praktisch berall haben!"
My opinion from there...
in English:
"Generally quality work, that's what I guessed, they don't submit extremelly much, which keeps the range of low quality pics a bit down, but you have to be an extreme fan of the manga/anime style, to love this place." _________________ - hmm... did someone say "MUFFIN"? - |

It would be cool if there were versions of Fanart Central in every sizeable country, does anybody know where I can find the French equivalent? At least I will be able to tell from "Recent pictures" to "Daily favorites" there _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

I like the german language. You can say anything and it cames off sounding big and threatening. Let me give you an example: "Hello my good sir, but there seems to be a squid urinating in my pantaloons," transltes roughly into "Hallo mein guter Herr, aber dort scheint, ein Tintenfisch zu sein, der in meinen Hanswursten uriniert! Hiel Hitler!"

Fact is that I rarely know any German who doesn't speak english too.. myself count in, it is obligatory in europe to learn a second language in ground school, to pass the SA Test you need to speak two languages fluid, for the University Entering you need to speak at least 3 languages.. quite a lot to learn here..
but yup, german has a lot literary words and phrases which are impossible to translate.. and all german speaking peeps are proud of this sign -->
only used in german _________________ - hmm... did someone say "MUFFIN"? - |

I thought it could easily replaced with double "s"
The French are quite proud of their cedile,
and the circonflexes... ŷ...
You Germans stick with Umlauts, meh, that's a funny word

Hungary is the land of the Umlaute....
The have at least 4 versions of the .. with dots, with straight lines, with right cursive lines, left cursive lines and the same for the and the , .. for example the word "Gsznm" is with right cursive lines over the but I can't type that here and that means simply "Thanks".
You can displace the with ss, but Sh*** don't even means that without the in German.. really _________________ - hmm... did someone say "MUFFIN"? - |
