A New Subsection

How about a new section entitled "galleries" where people can make a thread about a particular artist (those who don't belong in FAC, as that would be in self promotion) and his/her biographies in it?


Other people can post pictures made by him or her and/or new information regarding her/his life to keep the thread going.


For example, I make a thread about Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (the character designer of Evangelion and FuriKuri) and I post a short biography, things he do to draw his pictures, along with about 3 example arts, other people can post whatever they have made by him after.

The purpose of this thread is to make those of us who are not familiar with foreign artists to find out and discover artists whom they can identify with. (Personally, I started drawing because I really liked the arts of Yoshitoshi ABe)


People I want to make a thread about:


Naoki Urasawa (Creater of Monster, 20th Century Boys)
Hiroaki Samura (Practically the only manga artist who uses pencil)
Yoshitoshi ABe (Amateur artist who gained fame after Lain)

but what I wish is a section for aritsts and character designers, not just for Art gurus of the past.


[b]EDIT 2[/b]: Problem solved, I'll just make bunch of threads concerning my favorite artsts, but the question, is, can you post N-17 picture in a thread if the thread warns people about it?

and second of all, I think the name of the section should change from "Art history" from "Prominenet Artists" or something...

That's cuz I'm using "Artist History" as the galleries now.



I don't consier most manga/anime artists to be true, fine artists though, they're mostly graphic.
