I live in a rinky-dink town. here's some stuff we have:
An elementary school and a hight school (no middle school)
A chinese place
A Hong Kong Dolar (it's right next to the Chinese place..imagine that)
Rite-Aid
A bar called Moe's (yes...like from the Simpsons)
Sheetz (gas station)
Thrift Store
yeah
Yeah my town is pretty small and boring. LAst month their was two murders though...pretty scarey. The Carnival is in town now so their are like 50 Carnis running around. My town sucks. _________________ I have magical female powers

My town is a beauty.
I live in Apple Valley, Minnasota. Filled with young cool skaters and jackasses. lots of black ho's with boobs that pass their stomach.
Also I live in the state that has many lakes, known for about 10,000 but we have more. We gots cool forests and bike jumps! Anyways, boring sometimes.
Our elementry is under consrution, so is our middle school. They both suck.
I don't know what more to say. _________________ Wyat Fucking Earp! |

Me I'm living in Qubec : Laurentides.. that's not the most beautiful place, but the people are nice. there's no big party for Christmas and everythin' else but that's it : my place is peaceful.
here's my house and the lake near my house. There's many lakes where I live where we can swim or fish. |

My town is pretty much a cultural wasteland of art and the people living in it or creating it. Its a pretty big place but I'm not sure if it can be called a city. It certainly is big enough.
The highlights of my home would definetly be The Warner Theater and the Nutmeg Conservatory. The Warner is our oldest building and still plays shows and concerts that sell out most of the time. The Nutmeg Conservatory is where you learn about the performing arts such as ballet, interpretive dance, jazz, and all kinds of dances and skills that I don't know about.
The Artwell gallery is great too. Its across the street from The Warner and some of my artwork has made it up there (most recently, a still life of a Samuel Adams bottle.) My art teacher, Mr. Leger gets his work there all the time but thats because he's like the greatest artist in the state and his work ends up all over town.
There are more galleries and some underground music and rock places to hang around but unless you know someone who's actively there, then you'll never hear about them.
We have a couple of events that happen yearly. For example there's this kind of week-long art festival that happens once a year and it blocks up the roads downtown so you end up parking at the TJ Max half a mile away from The Warner and Artwell Gallery. But its worth it because there's some pretty fun stuff to see and do. If you know where to go that is. Nutmeg will have public dance recitals where anyone can come in and watch the dancers for free and Artwell has an all-student gallery where artwork from grades 6-12 is hung up and admired by the public eye. But my favorite thing to do is go to the upmost room in The Warner and check out Mr. Leger's gallery. Its got a little bit of a yuppie atmosphere because everyone is in formal wear and I'll end up being the only one in jeans but its worth getting see his landscapes up close. Plus its always cool to like see all these people intimidated to talk to him and I can just go up to him and say "Hey whats up!" and people like get shocked.
There's like other stuff too downtown like shops. We have a Wal Mart just like every other town and we might get a Target pretty soon but thats still up in the air. We have a really crappy Blockbuster though so we always go into the next town for that. I heard that we're getting a courthouse somewhere downtown pretty soon so I don't know if thats good or bad. Convicts getting sent to my town...I guess that calls for losing some sleep.
They say that if it doesn't happen in my town, then it doesn't happen anywhere else. Not all hell of a lot happens in my town in the first place...
I feel sorry for all the ghosttowns then.

I live in Kitchener-Waterloo pop. 320 000 in Ontario, 150km West of Toronto.
We have like 3 universities right side by side each other, and I live right next to the University of Waterloo, there are Fret parties every Friday night and that means our entire family have to take sleeping pills.
I live right next to Michaels and Dairy queen too, which was pretty good during the summer
My highschool is like, (I 10 km away from my house, so I always take the bus to go, it's bitch if you forget something over the weekends since my parents ignore my pleas to drive me
The highest building in our city is Ontarian Clarica headquarters (20 stories high)
we have number of parks, most notable one is the RIM park...
We have a huge mennonite village north of us, and most people go to their farmers market.
And Our city used to be called Berlin but it was changed during the WWI, the biggest ethnic group in my city is German-Canadians. and the Vietnamese-Canadians are one of the biggest minority _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

My home town is fairly small but growing, because the educational system is supposedly good. Hm. I guess it's okay. We've got a high school, a middle school, and three elementary schools. Also a couple strip malls and one corner with two pharmacies on it (they're going to build a third one there soon >_<). There's plenty of trees, but it feels like everything's being torn down so that new houses can be built.
Every summer we have the town festival Old Home Days. There's a parade and pony rides and little kids running around and horrible singers... Well, I used to sell clay dragons there, and that was cool.
I guess the thing that my town is best known for are its apple orchards. Go us!! Every fall, all these tourists show up to look at the leaves on the trees and pick apples and pumpkins. I think just about everyone who grew up in my town ended up taking a field trip to go apple-picking at some point in either kindergarten or first grade. It's all kind of dorky, but I have to be glad that I'm not living any further north, as NH gets awfully rural, the further north you go.
Robert Frost's farm is in the next town over - cute little place to go hiking, actually. |

well I live in a miniscule island which doesn't really have town, cos my country is so small, but anyway, where i live, there's not much crime here, you don't really have to worry whether there's goin gto be a shootout of something cause security here is high, there's been some occasions, though. Its always either sunny or rain,my house is 5 minutes walk to a train stop,a mall and the beach, and basically everyone lives in high-rise buildings except for some rich people who lives in those bungalows by the seaside. |

Mansfield.
Very Small.
Very Boring.
Even if it is a college town there's nothing to do here. It has a wal mart, a dozen gas stations, three pizza places, one McDonalds, one Wendy's, Arby's, Taco Bell, KFC. The nearest mall is two hours away. Yeah, everyone is fat. The nearest movie theater is a half hour away.
It has alot of skaters though. |

awesome my town has a hippie thing going for it. there are ton's of hippies... they smell really bad and are nothing but welfare check baby's who live off of the kindness of other's and are total moocher's.
we are said to be alot like europe b/c of the narrow roads and steep hills and high elevation. its a great place to run and ride bike's. but watch out for cars b/c people from mexico come here and drive really stupid like and care not for other's...
we have good restaurants and a mine tour. where you get a hard hat a yellow coat and belt with attached flash light. its always 47 degree's in there even if its over 100 degrees outside. (because of the ventilation shafts build by miner's)
you ride for almost an hour and walk around in the old mine about 1500 feet below ground. in a small powerful slow train. its lots of fun. we even had haunted queen mine tours on halooween.
imagine that....going in a small dark really deep cave with people who are trying to scare you by using trick's and dark. it's a haunted house but not a house a mine tour....mauahahahaa it was fun scaring people
but on a bad note they don't do that anymore. the one year i go out with friends instead of doing the mine tour(helping people be scared piss less.. ^_^ )
a lady died. b/c she was a volunteer and she got a stupid idea to try and climb a beam in the mine she fell hit her head and went unconscious and the train ran her over its not fast but it is extremely powerful it could pull a ton..(literally)...
it crushed her to death. she died in the hospital. the lawsuit almost closed the mine all together.... ...but it's still giving tours just no more halloween fun for me... _________________ I'm a bit silly on the goofy side on nonsense. ^_^ |

My hometown?
It probably had less than 10,000 living there. Doesn't have a mall. Doesn't even have those tiny strip malls that want to be real malls, but don't have the girth to do it. Has dinosaur bones, though. And lots of trees. _________________

I live in Edinburgh, which is supposed to have a population of about 400k (but I can't see how). When the whole G8 thing was happening a lot of the protesters came here, and there were some riots and so on. Now that's out of the way it's coming up for tourist season, so the centre of town's gonna be packed with folk going to see the castle, the Parliament etc. <_< _________________ "You know what?
