Fac Fundraising Idea

This idea is somehow "out there" but how about instead of making artists donate pictures for the children to buy at $20.00+, why not mass-produce cards featuring OC's or monsters donated by the artists? (somehow... I dunno, I'm always the one with ideas, not the grunt power)

I've seen a lot of people using those cards as their avatars that has BP and SP on it that is not playable, but is fun to have. I like the idea of having cards with special attention on the pictures because it becomes a mini-gallery if we size it right and people utilisize those card-carrying plastic flaps. Cool

Something like a "FAC Dragon pack, 10 pre-selected cards plus one secret-rare card (BS)" that runs for i dunno, 5 bucks, seems really nice in my opinion, it's almost the same price as the YGO packs. the advantage of selling cards over requests is that the pictures can be mass produced, rather than a request basis, the cards are fun to collect for young kids and people who has a favorite artist in FAC, and the artists can "recycle" their old pics rather than draw something new for donation.

This would also be a great opportunity to promote some people's OC that generally don't get a lot of exposure in "FANART central" . . . .

(I'm pretty sure that we can't use fanarts in this)

You mean designed as actual cards? Like Magic cards?

Meh. You're back to the same issue of those who will want it don't have the means or money to buy it.

There's a similar trend that's been going for months of ACEO's (Art Cards: editions and originals) sold on Ebay and a few independent sites. They're 2.5x3.5" artwork sold from between a dollar and $40+, usually at auction.
