I'd like to meet some Dir en grey fans (like myself) simply because... well, idk... but i love that band almost as much as i love... CANDY... and i DO love candy... ZOMG so who likes Dir en grey?

My sister listens to those bands, their music sounds annoying. The only JRock band I heard that I could stand was Malice Mizer.

Hmm? i've heard of that band, but i never really listened to them. i get so pissed off when people say jrockers look like girls... most of the time they don't. it's just what they look like.

well, yes, that's visual kei, but even when they AREN'T trying to dress like women, people say they looks like girls... and i REALLY hate it when people say all asians look the same... they don't.

Also, about visual kei... there's one thing i don't like... jrock fans are starting to pay more attention to their LOOKS rather than the MUSIC. it's not all about the look, ya know. i mean, some guys look awesome, but if the music sucks, i won't listen to it.

My retarded fucking Paki friend sent me a song called "cry of maggots" or something and he said it was "artistic" but it was actually 2-minutes of squirming and shit. Doing stuff like that don't make you artistic, it makes you a faggot, and seeing as it's a visual kei band, they're reaching the new high.

and I hate the bunch of dipshit girls who love the band because holy mother fucking shit, they're Japanese! Japanese ppl maek kewl muzik which bodes well with my creepy yaoi fantasies, holy fuck.

There's much better bands out there, and not just Japanese, I'm in the process of fapping over some Sigur Ros music, a band from Iceland. The Pillows is probably my favorite Japanese all-male bands now, maybe some Janne da arc and Asian Kung-fu generation... but those two are a bit of a nostalgic favorite to me than anything else. The Canadian all-male band Malajube is my fave, especially their latest album Trompe L'Oeil, probably one of my favorite CD of all time. Placebo's pretty good too, British. Radiohead anyone?

Holy fuck, I can think of at least 20 all-male bands from 10 different countries that's better than Dir en Grey

Hey, i'm cool and all with you disliking the band. everyone has their own opinions, which makes everyone unique. but, you don't need to be nasty about it. please be a little nicer, after all, i'm really new here. also, please don't judge someone just for being asian. i'm asking nicely, so please be kinder! and i'm looking for people who LIKE dir en grey, not people who hate it. thanks btw... its called agitated screams of maggots, and that's really not my favorite kind of music... it's not artistic at all. check out their song called yokan! it's a really good song, and it was made before they went all dark and stuff... >__<; and i DO like other things rather than jrock and anime... i like harry potter a lot! ^__^

Understand that it's simply irritating that some people (namely, non-Japanese Japanophiles) like all/most jrock/jpop simply because they're Japanese.

I dunno. If you really are keen on Japanese music, I could point you toward some better groups that don't all sound exactly alike. As Brian said, Janne da arc is good. Rock: Art-School, Bump of Chicken, B'z, Luna Sea. Kaggra and Blam Honey are two of the few visual kei style bands that haven't gone to crap. If you're looking for something more hiphopish, try nobodyknows+ or Soul'd Out. Also recommending Remioromen, Suga Shikao, and whoever the genius was that did the Samurai Champloo soundtracks.
