Otherwise the people suck and the rest of the tracks suck.

There good, but the theme of there music is what gets most people I think, to teeny-booper for there own good, Green Day, though there older albums have less of it.

Greenday can drop dead. They suck, their music makes me have the desire to lick my own ass, it doesn't make me, makes me want to. But anywas. They're just another stupid modern band. American idiot, bulevard of broken dreams, holiday, all those songs suck, the music video for holiday was a nightmare, the drummer dressed up like a woman! A drunk woman! The earlier greenday even sucked. I hate them, I want them to burn in hell. Smile

but i don't own any of there cd's and there are few songs that i like and they all are on different cd's.... Grr!

New Green Day....bad.

American Idiot is just all pop-ish. Green Day is not like it was. I agree very much on the "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," thing. It's kinda like...wanna be emo or something. It gives out the message of, "My life sucks, I'm alone. Pity me."

ahhh....well i knew i shouldn't read this thread...i'm actually too tired to get offended. But yea...basically, i live for Green Day.

Last year i didn't even know who they are and now i have every single song memorized. I know so much about the band. It's kind of scary.

I don't mind if other people don't like Green Day, it's their opinion. But i know that i do and haha! I don't care what anyone thinks of me!!! lol

Anyway, I do agree with some of the earlier posts. yes the old greenday was better, and come on they are 33, and probably just a little nervous about people wanting to go for younger bands. Maybe the old green day didn't sing about the screwed up government, but it's a little different now. and I'm not gonna stop loving Green day becuase Tre Cool dressed up as a drunken woman.... <_<

Their old music was quite good.
But this new stuff...geez, It's like a freaking pity party. Like every other modern "Punk" band, it is about looks and not music.

And they shouldn't be. The instant a band starts trying to "appeal to the youth", they're fighting a losing battle. If the music is good, the fans will come. 33 is [i]not[/i] that old for a band, at least it didn't use to be. Although, in a time when people are no longer being signed in their twenties but in their late teens, I guess it gives this image of being too old. However, it's far more lame for a group of dudes in their 30s to try and be trendy.

If old green day sang about the government, I'd have hated that music too. It's different because criticizing the government is cool right now. I don't care that they did it, I care how and why they did it. If you have something to say, little Billie, say it with something other than boring cliches.
