Metroid!

Okay, so I got Metroid Fusion yesterday. This game is amazing. Now I'm not really for any kind of shooter, especially a side-scroller shooter. But, I decided I really needed a different genre of game for my GBA SP considering all I have is STRATEGY! When you don't feel like thinking much on the road it's not always good to have a thinking person's game with you..... . . . .

So, how do you all stand on any Metroid game? What are your favorite Metroid games? What are your favorite abilities? Who is your favorite boss? What is whatever else you can think of!?

I LUV METROID PRIME TOO!!!!! THE FUSION SUIT WHEN UNLOCKED LOOKS REALLY COOL!!!!!

RIGHT NOW I AM ON METROID PRIME TWO ECCOES AND I LUV THE WAY U-MOS LOOKS HE IS SO COOL!!!!!!!

I got metroid prime 2 at home but my sis play it more than I do. I hate always having to come back at teh same places... That's what pisses me off with in that game....

Metroid Fusion rocks.

Love fighting the SA-X.

If you liked Fusion, you should pick up Metroid Zero Mission. It's as fun as Fusion, but a bit shorter.

What Metroid's are for GBA besides Fusion? I'm not buying a DS or a GameCube....probably ever, so maybe if another comes out for the Revolution I'll get it. I'm hoping the Revolution really is a revolution, otherwise Nintendo is gonna die after circling the drain the past couple of years. Sad

Bah, I never have enough health after dealing with the first boss I swear, stupid second forms....should all go to hell...... <_<

ZERO MISSION!!!! Pyrodragon, if you liked Fusion... you'll love Zero Mission. Zero Mission fulfills something new for the franchise that all Metroid fans wanted (the guy fans anyway). And it's probly the funnest game I've played for the GBA.

Wow.. as a fan of metroid I don't know where to begin on this thread you set up.
(I've played all of them but metroid 2)

METROID : Too old to enjoy
SUPER METROID : Most big fans of the series with say this is the cream of the crop. It is a great game (but since I didn't own it as a child... I don't have the same love for it)
METROID FUSION (metroid 4): Has one of the best storyline's in the game, but it's not as fun as Zero Mission
METROID PRIME : This game (aside from monkeyball) Validated my purchase of the gamecube. Easily one of the best in the series. One of the best 2d to 3d cross overs (I'd say).
METROID ZERO-MISSION : Thee most fun title in the series. Has the best 2D graphics in the series. It's basically a redone version of MERTOID (with a little extra sweetness... since you haven't played I'm not going to spoil the suprise)
METROID PRIME - ECHOES : Probly the darkest storyline in the series. Has a lot of goodness to it, but I don't think it has enough to outshine Prime 1. And it's about twice the size of Prime 1.... so sadly enough I haven't beaten it yet (but I'm close).

Well that's my basic over-view of all the games (that I've played). And I have to say for the 2D Zero Mission was my favorite. For 3D mmm... I'm gonna say the first prime over the second. But both are worth owning (if you have a cube). As for the favorite boss, either the Prime metroid or Dark samus...they're both very sweet.

Prime 3 is already in development for the Revolution. But what I saw only looks like a polished version of the current primes. Yeah sorry to say it, but I don't really see Nintendo pulling themselves out of the sink hole that they've been sinking into ever since competition came to their doorstep. The folks there just don't have a clue. And eventhough I own most Nintendo systems, I think they should've bowed out of this next generation. I will not be getting a Revolution... unless I find it in a bargain bin.

Zero mission also has something interesting.

After you think you've beaten the game, and are flying off the planet, you get shot down, and have to recover your power suit. While using stealth to aviod Space Pirates. Wink
