A lot of people say it's a fruit because it has seeds, but don't all vegetables have seeds, too? Why is it a fruit? I still can't tell for sure what it is.

Well, in my opinion anything that has seeds is a fruit, and a vegetable is any other edible part of a plant.

I wonder why I started this poll. Very Happy

Technechally anything that results from a plant's flower is a fruit, so you are right.

I remember in second grade we had this discussion about fruits and veggies and the teacher talked about how some people thought tomatoes were a fruit and some people thought it was a vegetable.

*Shrug* I don't know what the heck they are anymore....

And, if anyone cares, here's website talking about it. CLICK to discover that acording to the Supreame Court, the tomato is a vegetable. Pretty sad when the nation's highest court gets involved with it. If the site is telling the truth in the first place.

(Isn't it pathetic how I looked it up.... <_< )

tech wise it's really a fruit ... but to me it's always going to be a veggie! this is why!
