I can't stand CNN. They act like everyone's a moron. Every time some politician gives a speach they have these little captions on the bottom repeating exactly what the person just said as though it makes any difference. (not closed captioning) Like the state of the union address for example:
Bush- "We are going to invade Iraq"
CNN- "We're going to war in Iraq."

Come on.

Um, JFreak, they do that because some people can't hear and or have bad hearing. And some people for whatever reason, might have missed what they said. I watch CNN everyday, and my mom tends to interuppt when i'm interested in something, so instead of hearing it like i want to, i can at least read it on the bottom of the screen.

They don't think any one dumb, it's just getting the news out ot everyone in everyway, not everyone pays 100% attention all the time you know <_< It's kind of hard to, and pathetic for those who do all the time.

And chris, that's pretty stupid that people don't know that. I mean, if you don't raise your child in the first place in a healthy way, it's going ot effect them in a number of ways. How they take in information, how fast, how much, how they interact with others, behaviorur problems, eating habits, mental health, etc etc.

Sure, there are some with problems due to genetics, but a lot of people blame to much today on bad genes or some kind of condition/disease. We're to big on blamming someone other than ourselves nad taking responbility for our problems and accepting that half the time, it is our fault.

That's what closed captioning is for. The way CNN does it is annoying. If you missed something and their captions are playing at the same time as the words are being spoken, then it's already too late to turn back and see it. I'm not talking about random updates, just speeches and such.

I know what your talking about, and both ways are helpful, both the random and always there as the speech is happening.

Haha!! Indeed you would. Very Happy I'm just glad we had our TV back after suffering half a year. It got so boring that watching paint dry didn't seem such a bad idea at all. WTF?

I for one, don't really watch the tv, but if i'm home, even now as i'm listening to my iPod full blast and messing about on the forums, it is on. I can't stand not to have it on.

Once in awhile i do watch some, like aduilt swim, but i more or less listen to that except for the newer stuff i haven't seen. But i also get ideas for my artwork and writing from the tv, from things i see just at a glance or hear as i'm working.

I have to have a tv, i would go insane without it because i rely on it for the news. I watch cnn like a religion as i've said before, and if i'm not watching cnn, i'm watching adult swim, or vh1 for the biography on music type s**t.

Although i have been watching dvd's lately on it so yeah, i've watched it in that since for the past two days. *shrugs*

"Throw away your television. Time to make this clean decision Master waits for it's collision now..."

I get my news from the internet.
imc
alternet
bbc news
people's daily
japan times
moscow times
arab news
cnn
punk news ..just to name a few

I like to keep myself well rounded. But seriously, televisions are bad for your health, literally...

Televisions are the best. I wuv my televisions. *hugs televisions* They bring movies, and comedy, and bitchin' tunes, and sexy men into my home on a daily basis, and for that I am forever grateful. Computer's not exactly good for you, either, and you sit a hell of a lot closer.

Like i said, i don't really "Watch it" i listen to it, and when i feel artsy, i watch the cartoon networks, or better, adult swim like i am now, taking notes and deciding what i want to draw next.

And i have it for when there's music on the tv, if ever. I don't have a radio or cd player (cd's are evil, i refuse to pay money for them when i only like 2 songs on them! and radio has to many commercials!) to blast it if i can and feel like it.

If i rarely ever want to watch something, i can't in the living room. My mom talks loud and if she's at her computer, she ask andy questions or me questions and all this bullshit if i'm out there without fail. And if you ask her to be quiet or tell her your trying to watch something, she gets defensive....

Me and her aren't getting along either, she's being a real bitch to me and i'm not doing a god damn thing.

And what fallen said too. My tv is on the otherside of my room babe. Remember the pic of my room on ym website i took for frank and nigel to see the duvet. Well imagine sitting on my bed near my pillow as i do, and look across the room to your right. It sits in that corner and away from me, how i like it.

I don't watch it as much as I used to, but there's one behind me, so I listen/watch it while I'm online. All the best shows have either turned to crap or been cancelled. I still love "Married...With Children" reruns everyday.

Heh, i haven't seen those in years. It's in front of me but i'm to busy drawing, writing, or on my laptop to really look at it. I'm watching it now sort of, it's the anime witch hunter robin i liked. I've seen all the episodes but 3 that i missed here and there....i've seen this one episode but it's a new anime to me and i like it, so i'm half watching it as i mess about on here.
