Okay, this is like nothing new because I really am a sickly kid. I have a pretty bad cold today. You know the usual clogged up nose, the drippy feeling in the back of the throat, the froggy voice, the hurting of the eyes, etc., etc. I haven't like taken anything for this cold yet although I probably should. But I'm not sure what would help me. All I know is that I shouldn't drink milk and should like drink a lot of water.
So do any of you have like home-made remedies for the common cold? Do you just have a bowl of chicken soup and all of a sudden your sinuses clear up? Or do you just sleep the day away and its like you were never sick in the first place? Or are you like me and OD on Tylenol or some other kind of painkillers and just try to ingore the cold until it goes away a few days later? ;)
*Sneezes*

Well...I've never heard of something that would actually cure it, otherwise I'd be jumping for joy if there was.
Usually I just drink some green tea mixed with grinded lime and sugar (so it isn't so sour). Helps the throat and plus it has a lot of vitamin c. And a crapload of tea. And Sudafed just in case...
Er....hope that helps. _________________ Makes you wonder, doesn't it? |

Common cold is a virus we can't seem to cure yet.. the cells of the virus keep shapeshifting so we have nothing to search and counter it. |

Ah crap. I do know that. I guess what I'm trying to like look for in this topic is ways to make the cold more bearable. You know, something to help tone down the sniffles or get rid of this damn headache I got. You know, things like that. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Wow, that's weird, I have a cold too Sixx. My mom actually let me stay home from school which is a very rare occasion.
You know what I find works well? Ice cream. That, and Disney movies. _________________ |

Wow. Maybe this cold is like spreading to Canada or something. :o
I don't really like ice cream but I'm going to have pizza in a few minutes. And I will totally watch some Disney movies tonight. I haven't seen The Lion King in quite a while. I'll watch that again. :D
My nose actually cleared up. I'm like so happy. And I don't sound like a frog anymore.
I already take like a crapload of pills. Might as well take some more. I bet we even have like Vitamin A tablets around here too. I'll try those.
Thanks you all<3 _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Mint gum (the kind with alchohal in it... in the paper containers... where you have to pop it out) takes care of my stuffy nose instataniously. _________________

Lemon tea with honey helps with soar throats.
Ramen noodles, with a little bit of rosemary, garlic powder, and thyme thrown in.
Dont ask me why that one works, it just does (for me at least)

It's a change of season, of course everyone has a cold.
My nose and throat are going MAD! Stuffed up nose, throat burning to hell.
Bah...I just took a nasal decongestant, so hopefully that will get right up to work......
IT'S NOT HELPING!!!!! <_< |

Wait, change of season? So thats why I was sick. :o
I like feel a lot better today. My nose is like a bit runny but I can live with that. I think just getting a lot of sleep helped.
I hope you feel better Pyro. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

first of your less likely to catch a cold if you have a Daily amount of Vitemin c, Orange juice, so on. I did this and I missed no days of school. (I don't no why i did that).
2 when you feal the cold coming on Take a sage tee, Heat it up and put limon juice in it. It works, other wise you could make Hunny Drinks, it coats the throught _________________ |

For some reason, I don't have a cold ^_^
chiken noodle soup helps and sleeping a lot to. The first thing to do when you're sick is to rest so your body is best prepared to fight back aganst sickeness _________________ A life with love will have some thorns but a life without love will have no rose |

Bleh..now I'M coming down with something... <.<;;;
Best you can do is to treat it with the best you;ve got once it starts showing up. Otherwise, it's just downhill from there and you have to wait for it to go away... _________________ Makes you wonder, doesn't it? |
