Number Of Comments On Pics

I just want to say, that these days people don't really comment on pictures anymore! I've seen some truly wonderful pieces in the recent pic section but they're rarely being recognized. Are people just lazy? Does it slow down their comp? Do they just not bother with comments anymore?? comments motivate us artists and keeps us going! Razz

Why is there a sudden shrinkage of comments lately??

a lot of people here are just big sonic/inuyasha fans or something like that.. and tend to keep their comments to just them..

i for one almost never comment... but that's just cause i'm a lazy son of a bitch

like your work for example.. i simply love all your stuff... but i think i've only ever commented on one of your drawings...

and your brothers the same.. i think he may well be one of the best artists here on FAC.. and i've never commented on anything of his... only here on the forum...

Most people are just lazy. I only comment when I see something I really like or something that I think I could give constructive crits on. We did have this discussion at one point, though, in another forum, about how no one comments on origianls, just on InuYasha and FMA stuff.

I understand. There have been some pics where I go "Wow I didn't know I could do that" and then no one comments or I just get a 'great job' comment. Where did all the good commentors go? I do try to comment a lot when I am going through art.
The good artists aren't being recognized as much anymore. I have seen people with crappy art who are on a bunch of people's favorite artist lists and have a huge amount of comments and then there are some pretty darn good artists out there who seem to scare off the commentators with their awesome art and who are on like one favorite artist list. I guess it is a game of luck.

That's really disappointing. Although, I think it would help if we had a way of notifying people when an artist submits something new--kind of like DA's watch system. That's nice, since I always know when an artist I watch posts something new.

It irks me that the person obviously traces and is on the favourite's list of 60+ people,while those who draw originally don't really get recognized..

People are lazy. It gets on my neves so bad when some wonderfly (sp?) drawn picture has two comments and this crappy contorted picture has about 40 comments. <_< Like the ones Animemaster put up on the post a little bit above me. It's really depressing.

I comment on almost every picture I look at, but a lot of them are mostly just to let the person know I know they exist. Every once in a while though I'll go on this rant of "OMFG that is so GOOD!!" But only if the picture is of really great quality.
You guys get what I mean?

I do that too,but only when the pic's really good. I look at pics but I only comment them when i feel they deserve it.

People take comments way too seriously. I would rather have 2 constructive comments than a million "OMG THAT IS AWESOME" comments. I rarely even look at the comments I receive anymore. Sometimes I'll get a comment that helps and makes me see something wrong with the submission I didn't realize before, but not often. Otherwise it's all just fluff.

I look at every comment I get, it's easy because I don't get many. But I really hate it when its just "THATS ROCKZ FAVE*"

And I don't even do anime/manga. :huh:

But really, I don't mind when someone comments with just "I like your art", lets me know they like it. I don't look for cc from people i don't know, so I don't care. As long as it's not that "THATS ROCKZ FAVE*" crap, because that dirties up my gallery :wako: I haven't deleted any of those, I may get around to it soon tho.

Some pictures make me laugh *they are not supposed to be funny but they look funny*, so I dont think its a good idea to comment on such pics, I might hurt their feelings Very Happy

, well thats not the only reason, I'm kinda lazy...so I dont comment much. :|

Anyways people complain *they always do* if they dont get a comment, even if they do get a comment, they still complain about how lame it is, delete the f**king comment and get over it, pussies.

Oh btw animemaster, did you know that you can delete comments? I bet you didnt know that!!
