Do You Go Back Over You Art And See Who's...

Well, I do. Atleast once every two weeks, if not more. I go back through all my pictures to see if anyone's new has commented on my art.

Then If there is a new comment, I go back and looked over the person's art (if they have any ) and leave a comment about their comment and about their art. Smile

It's a rare occasion for me to check back on one of my drawings. Usually I just check my e-mail alerts and view the pictures which have been freshly commented on.

However, whenever I provide a link to one of my drawings, I tend to check the link myself to make sure it's correct. I guess that counts as viewing one of my own drawings... but that's the only exception.

I don't even get enough comments anymore to bother. Juli is the only one that does, but she doesn't anymore so I get an occasional "Ohh so pretty" comment.

So basically I don't bother looking back, it makes me depressed..

of course there are times when I get so desperate I got to check like every hour (literally)...

whiny babies, deal with poeple not commenting, I have too! I do cheak when I get an e-mail about it, some people leave stupid comments and such, I have to whatch over the assholes time to time.

DUH. So we replied, right? and then we replied telling what we do. What, just WHAT, is so wrong about that? I said that sometimes I don't go and check on pictures because it gets me depressed. Am I whining? Am I whining because I'm telling the truth? No, we're not whining. YOU are whining. Your whining because you don't like it when people say they don't get enough comments (and it gets them depressed), and it does no help either. I know sometimes complaining can help people open thier eyes about a subject, and they could learn. I know people (such as myself) complain for a purpose, to express our thoughts about subjects. But you are whining about people about people expressing what they feel about the subject. That is worthless. YOU are the whiny baby around here.

Ok, I typed the truth. I typed how I felt about the subject. THAT, you shithead, is not whining. But typing rude commets because people are upset about not getting comments [b]is[/b] whining.

sorry, I just hate it people be so hurtful and mean. It pisses me off so much. It's people like that that make the world a more negative place.

Oh? Am being a 'baby' now? How degrading. We just said what we felt about the subject, and the you come along and call all of us babies for it, I tell you your the whiny one, and now you come back to say I'm acting like a baby? Well, last time I checked, I wasn't the one who started this mess. I wasn't the one who WHINED about people because they're getting all upset due to a low comment count.

30 years of my life? Well I don't know about you, but typing these paragraphs only takes about 4 minutes of my time, sometimes even less.

And, if your calling no one a baby, why are you calling me that? You shouldn't have even started, you sorry loser.

To me, this 'fuss' isn't a stupid matter, because you just insulted people. And I hate people who insult others' feelings. It's a serious matter, because so many people get depressed over it. if people could be a bit NICER and not start insulting people out of the blue, things like this wouldn't have started in the first place.

OK ANYWAY. Back to the subject.

....anyway.... Lately I've been getting alot of comments out of nowhere. I don't know how people find out about me, but it feels good. Plus, my Fav count has shot up like 6 or 7 people real fast Smile

I don't check unless I get emailed. But even then, I've comments on my work that were'nt emailed to me. So I check, I guess, about once a month. I'm actually not caring anymore about comments as much. Alot of them are just short posts that says "you rule", well thnx, I already know [i]that[/i]. But nonetheless, I get comments Smile

I don't understand why anyone (who had working email, mind you) would manually check pictures instead of wait for the email notification. :huh:

And if the notifications aren't working, might want to try to get that resolved, especially if your email doesn't accept other notices from the site like newsletters or messages from staff.

I couldn't agree more with fallen.^_^ I just wait for emails to see who's commented. mostly beacuse I have several pages of pics, & I usually don't feel like going through each one seeing the comments I've gotten. it just seems time consuming-to me anyway. then again, I waste hours drawing on the computer. I check when I get the emails, and occasionally I'll visit a picture I liked to see how many comments it's got. Not very often, but it does happen.

*shrug*

I don't get real life feedback for my art, so I don't think reading through the comments on a picture every now and then is the most extravagently egotistical thing in the world. It's sometimes nice to know that someone who isn't related to you likes what you do. Or hates it, as the case may be... Cool
