Well, this is just a little forum to discuss the, in my opinion anyway, wildly entertaining Azumango Dio! I have found only a couple of people who have even heard of the show, and the only forum on here that I've found was shut down, so here's a new one! From the opening theme to the end, I love this show and its crazy characters and happenings! Its kindal like a Japanese anime version of Seinfeld or Friends! Aw, it's so cool, and it's one of the very few shows that my brother and I both love to watch!

Well, enough about me, tell me what you think! Maybe you've never heard of it, but want to learn about it, or maybe you hate it, it doesn't matter! Let's discuss people!

Ah, good ol' Azumanga Daioh. I love it to bits. What initially got me interested was a trailer for it on a different anime I was watching. Azumanga looked so bizarre and weird that I had to check it out. From there, I was hooked. It proved to be just as weird and bizarre as it had appeared.

I adore Chiyo-chan. She's actually my avatar on other forums. <3

Resisting the urge to scream "OMG WEEABO", Azumanga Daioh was one of the most-how can I put it-Expectedly Bizzare things I've ever read. I wasn't really surprised at how crazy the characters where, generally all manga with School settings have insane main characters.

I actually thought the teachers were more entertaining than the students. D=

I've only seen one DVD of the anime (lol not hardcore) but it was an extremely smooth (And accurate) transition from strip-format. :b

That series is so funny. I have all the episodes plus that bonus Web episode and the movie. I laughed so hard when I watched the first episode. It was just so random. Sakaki is my fav character. I kind of feel like her when it comes to cats, except I have more luck with them ^_^

In agreement with Brad, the teachers were waaaay more entertaining (zomg Yukari <333) than the students. Though I do like Yomi.

I haven't seen too much of the anime; I'm more of a manga person. But I do have all four of them. :3 I do admit, though- the opeining is rather addicting. But only when accompanied by the video. D:

I like Yukari too. I bet she has a Screech type thing going for her, aka She went to college, and ended up teaching the same class she was in.

I think the OP is waay overplayed (faggot animu tards), though in agreement with Joou, it's better with the video.

I love Sakaki. She can't get near cats, even when she is hamded one. Like when they found that lost kitten and it jumped out the window! Laughing

I actually didn't see the first though . . . .

....I started on the second. Still, it was On Demand, and my friend told me about it, so I gave it a shot and was hooked. Unfortunately, they took it off, so I'm hoping to save up and buy the DVD set!

OHHH! I love this show. It is so funneh. W00t!

It makes me laugh a lot. It is so random...my favorite character is the girl whos southern and dumb. Shes so cute. xD. The perverted teacher reminds me of an ex-friend of mine...really scary. We watched Azumango Dio in Anime Club at school. It was the only anime that was funny and not some dumb mobile suit mecha s**t. DD:

Azumanga [i]Daioh[/i]... (just letting you know it's not Dio) how I loved it to bits. I heard it was supposed to mean "Best manga ever" and it is one of my favourites! And the anime rocked too! Osaka reminds me of myself. ^_^

Plz be joking. If I'm not mistaken, this is how it got it's name: Kiyohiko Azuma was the person who made it, hence the name "Azumanga", and I believe the strips were originally published in a magazine called "Daioh".

I remember when I first saw the first episode with my friends. I was so confused, I guess I'm not one for animes such as that or excel saga. I can't understand all the randomness I'm afraid Sad
