Music these days aren't as original and hard as they were back then,I think.
Classic rock monsters like " Steve Miller" "CCR" "SteppenWolf" had GREAT hits and lyrically awesome. I would name all of them but this would take a long loooooooong while.
I was wondering if there are any classic rock lovers, or even some that haven't heard of these great bands to share their thoughts and possibly even DL some of their music. You'd probably recognize a few of them because some are used in many Beer commercials and whatnot:)

indeed, not much popular music today is very original, and most older rock bands were much better. hmm i love nirvana, the pixies, and the who. led zeppelin, pink floyd, ac/dc, and the doors are all awesome, too. o and i love the raincoats (maybe not classic rock, but they're a great girl rock band from the 80s). i like a lot of older rock bands, but i don't own many whole albums or anything- i'm most familiar with nirvana, the raincoats, and the pixies.
o and do the sex pistols, the dead kennedys, and the clash count? again, not necessarily classic rock, but they are "classic punk" in a way (if that's a real term). plus... they're awesome... _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

Indeed, we talkin' classic rock like the Stones and Bob Seger or classic as in old?
Either way...me. Obviously.
(and buy the albums, people, or your ass will be mine )
I'm listening to Dokken...can't say they were all that original (Except George's guitar playing)....but they are from the mid 80s. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I haven't heard The Doors in quite sometime. I need to go listen to Yes, too. Been listening to The Who all day, though. _________________ |

It's not love that left you standin', it's not love that left you cold, it's not love, mis-un-der-standin', only a mistake, there's nothin' left to take... Why baby why, did you make me let you go and leave you so lonely, why baby why...
George so saved their ass with those riffs.
Alice Cooper at the moment. Found my best of CD in a Tuff case. I keep track of my stuff so well. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Because they were among the first, the Misfits. I don't really like them, but I'll give them credit where it is due. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.
