Tom gives all the chick members here attention no matter how long they've been there. Therefore the newer members who are in the majority flock to him like attention-starved sheep.

I think Pow may have given up as the Newbie Protector. He hasn't really visted the Sandbox since he returned (and yes he has returned) but Tom is a frequent poster there. So I think we might as well pass the torch onto Tom since he's already doing the job.
