Call of Duty kinda owns everything but, you know, to each his own. _________________

Let's avoid comparing anything to something published by EA.
I've been a bit gun shy to pick up any of the WW2 games... cause much like flight games, they tend to suck a lot. But Call of Duty 2 for the 360 is looking sweet. And if I by some stroke of luck get a 360, then I'll be getting COD2 right along with it. |

You really should look into Call of Duty. If you want a game that is almost exclusively large and chaotic battles and fire fights, then this is your game. _________________

Heh heh... I already bought it for the 360. So with much luck, I'll be playing it as soon as I get it. Which better be tuesday! But yeah... time will tell how that goes down. But I have played it, and know what you mean by the large chaotic battles. I really think that's what helps give it the war time feel. |

Road to Hill 30 just got on my nerves because it became so repetitive. See the enemy, move into cover, fire at the enemy, tell your men to move forward, lay down covering fire, flank the enemy, wash and repeat. This cut-and-paste formula lost all the emersion for me. It was fun in the beginning, but it got old quick, plus I felt like I was micromanaging my troops. _________________

Hmmm...I'm all into the WWII history background...I guess thats why I loved the game.
EIB though is so damn hard! But I love it.
Instead of Wash-rinse repeat!
The games more like Wash rinse dry -wash repeat still not dry wash ETC!
You move into a fairly spcaious area. Then you Find the enemy if you lay down fire on one group of enemies and theres a second group. That group will charge your Flank throw grenades and chase you down!
Its way hectic and you always have to be thinking ahead...Like chess!
COD2 I played on the 360 today and It's to hard to aim. I loved the graphics and smooth feel but it was too...well...similar to the previous games.
Run-duck-shoot-clear building get blindsited and die! <_<
It's frustrating!
