... ouch. =( Sorry to hear that.
The admins are only human, and they make mistakes. I'd take that as a compliment, because if it look official, that means you're good. XD
Take it up with an admin. I'm sure it'll work out. _________________ FAC |
yes well i DREW that peice myself and i can prove it. <_< So what do i do about it?
Not much , have you got the picture uploaded on your computer so we can see it and see if we think it is official or not , the approval panel normally get it right when someone does steal one , sometimes peoples art is just too good to look like they had done it .
i can prove it
Prove it then.
let me guess the policy is to reject everything but crap. If so id prefer not to be a member of this place anyway.
Incorrect as usual , no this place does not only allow 'crap' pictures , there are some brilliant pieces of art , just try looking somewhere other than anime/manga . Everything looks the same in that category anyway . We don't want you here if you are just going to be rude . |

Do you know how many pictures site helpers have to evaluate every single day? and they're not getting paid for this.
and for the "animated lineart in this oekaki board"... hmm... why does that sound like the excuse from the infamous noob_artist?
oh I hate him so much.
anywho, I don't know, I don't care ^_^ _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |
And why? Because whoever it was who handled my image was either to lazy to actualy bother giveing it a good look it over or figured it was to good for me to have actualy drawn it myself. I personaly think that was rather rude.
Need I say more?
I think I shall anyway.
There are hundreds and hundreds of art submissions per day with few members finding time to sift through them to seperate the real from the fake, the blatantly stolen to the broken, the true art from the ..shite. It just so happens that your picture was thought to be stolen.. Wow too bad. That really is bad news.. for you. And trust me when I say it definately isn't personal.
You wouldn't believe how many repeating offenders steal art and continually upload the images they take and claim them as thier own. You should be glad that the team is vigilant enough to want to help you incase it was stolen after all. You'd be screaming blue murder if you found another of your art pieces on someone else's gallery.. so please.. before going off on a personal rant at the Approval Team, consider that they have a long, hard repetitive job ahead of them with no motivation or real desire to do the job anyway.. They slip up and get an earful here? Maybe we should reconsider what 'rude' really constitutes.
Okay, granted, you are right in that the people shouldn't take the job if they aren't going to do a proper job. After all, what's the point of doing something if you aren't going to do it properly? But still, as I say.. it's a big task to ask of the Panel...
The trouble is that it really is that hard to prove if an image is yours or not... I don't know if anything can be done in that aspect..

This is why, I should be on the approval team. >/
lol. xD Sorry, you don't have any idea how hard it is to look at 300 pictures.
I really want to be on the approval team too. : O But it's not like imma get it.
If you can't take that someone rejected you're work cause it looked like offical art then too bad. Also, if it looked traced that might be another reason why you were rejected. Now I have no idea what show it's off of or what not.
But actually give a screen shot of the picture and maybe insert it in a corner or something so that people will know. "Hey's its not stolen" or something.
Don't be ghey and complain. So what, there is always going on into the little describtion box about how it's not stolen and giving a refference to why it's not stolen.
Think that might work... hrms... yes. _________________

About 700-800 per day. That's a lot to wade through, even with some members having earned auto-approval. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I've been told I've stolen art etc. tons of times, I always take it as a compliment. When your art looks official that's a good thing! |

It's not a compliment and shouldn't be taken as one even if you haven't actually stolen it . In my opinion that picture looks like a copy just with an altered face , now i'm not saying it is but if I was on the Approval Team and I had to go through 700 odd like Strata said then I think I would just take it as a first glance . |

I think you missed my point. sometimes, people just change little things or steal art and it gets called official/stolen, and that's more than fiar in my opinion.
When you draw something completely new and it stilk gets called official thats a compliment. I've had that happen before. I'm not fimilar with the anime of that picture so I can't say for sure, but it definately looks like origional art to me. |

Oh I see your point now , thanks for clearing that up
I kind of get your point , but I think it kind of shows lack of imagination and style if your art looks that official , I prefer to have a little of my own style in mine , when I say that I am concentrating more on the anime style by the way All of it seems to look exactly the same and it's just dull looking at a load of pics that look official , I like to see someones personal style in it . |

When you draw anime, you can really tell the difference between styles. I don't know how much you've drawn but it's not very easy when you first begin. You have to start out with fanart. It took me a very long time to figure out my own style, it takes about a year or so to get that good. There are a lot of beginning artists on this site so you see a lot of trial and error, espicaly in the anime section, because that is less intimidating and and easier way to draw. Personal style can be a very hard thing, people need time. ^_^ |

That's my point , if they start out doing fanart then that is fair enough , but when they have that why not adapt their own style ? Personally if they are still doing the same anime style as the actual creator of the anime it would make me feel it was stolen. But I do see your point. |
