When I first started uploading my pics, they came out perfectly on the uploading page. But a couple of days ago, everytime I try to upload a pic it comes out HUGE! Banghead And then it'll take FOREVER to load. Heck, it NEVER loads. It's never taken more than 20 minutes for me to laod a pic before. I would really appreciate some help, because I just entered a contest and need to upload this pic by the end of this month. I use the scanner, no photoshop or anything like that. I thought it was the scanner messing up, but it's brand new and I've tried everything to resize the pic. It comes out good on the scan preview, its only when I try to upload it on the net that it messes up.

Is this normal, or do I have a problem? Thanks to all that are willing to help me!

Right , on the scanning program see if you can find a little part where it says something like

Size :
100%
50%
25%

If you click on 50% then it should automatically make the picture half the size but keep it looking just as good as the actual sized picture .

I hope that made sense .

I looked for it, but couldn't find it. All it has is zoom (which has the 25% and all that) and a resize part, which I already tried, and which does not help at all. Thanks for trying to help, though. I appreciate it.

You can always re-size things in MS-paint.

Just click on "Image", then go to "Stretch/Skew" and under where it says "Stretch" it will have two number 100's. Just change both of the 100s to something like 75 or 50, and you should be set.

Argh, I'm not very good at explaining, but I hope that helps. ^^;;

hey man.. it's been awhile since i used a scanner but most twain devices are the same.
you need to reset your dpi setting. the default on a scanner is usually set at max dpi and spits out bmp's which are super heavy image files. go into your scanners options or preferences and change it down bout half.. if you aren't using your images for print purposes you don't need super good definition. you should be able to reset your size there also.. your computer screen is probably 1024 by 768 pixels so use that as a reference.

Hahahaha!!
okay what you do here is...
you can always change the resizing on MS-paint like what Paru said and you
click on schetch/view after you've piced your image.
Then click the pic with a right side click save it then viola!
presto!
