Our story begins...
[u]Halo: Covenant Chronicles[/u]
[b]Phantom Covenant Drop Ship 12:03 April 12, 2593 [/b]
Covenant gathered as a large black armored Sangheili emerged from the Phantoms door. Now you all know why we are here! shouted the large alien, to claim back out planet of Toghch!
Doaga! A voice shouted over the communications system.
Sir! said the Black Sangheili.
General Yap-Yap will join you on your mission! said the voice.
Yap-Yap? Doaga pondered to himself. The Phantoms doors slid open as a small grunt-like creature emerged from the shadows. Doaga Eh? My orders from the prophet say Im leading this mission Yap-Yap said.
WHAT! I am leading this mission Oh short-one Doaga yelled.
Yap-Yap glared at Doaga with menacing eyes. A smile stretched across his face, Well Im just gonna have to fix that wont I
What do you mean? Doaga asked confusingly.
Yap-Yap attached two small machines to his wrists, Yer just gonna have to find out He clicked a button in his hands and two pulsing blades shot out of the machines. Another smile stretched across his face. He leapt in the air with inhuman speed and came down with great force. Doaga stood there shaking, You son of a-his words stopped as he split in two and both halves fell to the ground. I didnt catch that Wa did you say? Yap-Yap said as he broke out in laughter, Now lets get goin!
[b]Space 14:16 April 12, 2593[/b]
The Phantom zipped through space heading toward the distant planet of Toghch. The rest of the crew onboard the Phantom were still disturbed by the slaughter of their ex-leader. Enemy ship! a Sangheili shouted.
What!? Yap-Yap responded, Take em down!
Two smaller ships emerged from the enemy craft. Sir! They have Longswords! another Sangheili shouted to Yap-Yap.
Release the Banshees! Yap-Yap commanded.
Two gleaming purple ships rose from behind the Phantom. The Banshee flyers screamed as they shot at the enemy Longswords. One of the banshees rolled as a Longsword fired at it. The banshees front guns shot large steaming blasts of plasma toward the enemy ships. One of their Longswords ignited into flame as the banshee swerved away cautiously. The banshees went for the other Longsword. The craft shot rapid bullets as the banshees neared. The bullets pierced through one of the Banshees hard shells, it spun out and exploded leaving a faint trail of plasma. God dammit! yelled Yap-Yap. Yap-Yap sped to the front of the Phantom. Everyone man a turret! Get ready to fight!
Yap-Yap grabbed a seat, controls sat in front of him; he grabbed a pair of control sticks, and pulled down a visor over his eyes. He shot at the enemy Longsword with his plasma turret. It exploded scattering debris all over. Yap-Yap then aimed at the enemy ship. Time to have some fun Yap-Yap said to him-self. He fired the turrets and his allies followed. The ship exploded into a million steaming hot pieces. Now time to get back out planet Yap-Yap murmured.
[b]Toghch Atmosphere 21:45 April 12, 2593[/b]
The Phantoms drew closer to the planet Toghch. The starry landscape caught the attention of most of the crew onboard. Yap-Yap paced down the rows telling commands to the individual troops. A half-armored Unggoy stood at the end of the row rummaging through boxes to find the missing half of his armor. Yap-Yap stopped at the small creature, it looked up and stared at Yap-Yap shivering. His methane filled mask started to hurl steam into the air. Whats yer name soldier! Yap-Yap yelled.
Uh I-it-its Y-Y-Yochgh s-sir the Unggoy stuttered.
Yochgh Eh? If you cant locate yer armor your obviously not fit to be in this army! Yap-Yap reached out to Yochghs face, Yap-Yap grabbed his mask and tore it clean off his face. The small soldier fell to the ground gasping for air. P-Please s-s-sir, sp-sp-spare m-he fell to the ground dead. Again Yap-Yap annihilated another one of his troops. Sir! We have reached Toghch! said a Sangheili at the front.
Perfect murmured Yap-Yap to himself. Now take us down!!! Yap-Yap darted back to the front to watch. Sir were coming in too fast! shouted the Sangheili. Yap-Yap turned around and faced his crew, I guess this is-Yap-Yap paused and paced over to the weapons crate. He pulled out a couple of grenades and four Plasma Rifles. Yap-Yap pushed the door button and grabbed a small backpack; he slung it over his back. The doors slid open, GoodbyeYap-Yap finished, he jumped out the doors and quickly put all of his supplies in his backpack, and he then pulled out two devices and slapped them on his feet. He descended closer and closer to the planets forest floor. He pushed a button on the devices on his feet and two gleaming rays of plasma shot out of the bottom.
Yap-Yap neared the surface of Toghch. The devices started to smoke. Oh crap! shouted Yap-Yap. The glow devices faded and he fell to the forest floor face first. He pushed himself up, he looked around and saw nothing but trees, Now which way do I go Yap-Yap said as he looked around. There was a small clearing of trees where he saw a string of smoke hanging in the sky. He turned around and walked off into the forest.
[b]Toghch 1:02 April 13, 2563 [/b]
Yap-Yap had ventured for hours in the thick forest. He walked on through it; he approached a clearing in the forest. He sat down to take a rest but a sudden roar alarmed him. He pulled out a pair of Plasma Rifles and held them tight. Whos there! he shouted. A snapping of leaves and twigs made him jerk to the right. He fired the weapons rapidly in the direction of the noise. He stopped as he saw the plasma explode on the trunk of a tree. Im goin insane Yap-Yap thought to himself. Another noise startled him and he jumped over to the opposite side of the clearing. He again armed himself with his Rifles. He then threw a Plasma Grenade in the direction of the noise. The grenade stopped in midair and started to move back to him. I am goin insane! Yap-Yap cautiously stepped back away from the grenade. As the grenade came to a sudden halt an object revealed itself. An alien similar to the size of a Sangheili stood in front of him. It pulled a small object and tapped it against the grenade; it fell to the aliens feet and stopped its glow slowly faded. Cloaking Yap-Yap thought as he turned around and sped in the opposite direction.
