Halo: The Movie

I've been hearing sum rumors lately from peeps online and from the official Bungie.net website......Is there really gonna b a Halo movie?? If so, I hope Hollywood doesn't ruin another great game by making a stupid movie <_< But yeah, I've heard rumors about who might b directin and producin the movie. So far, I've heard one rumor about how the Watchowski brothers might help the Halo movie....when I heard this, I thought, kinda funky for an army kinda movie and who knows what tricks they have up their sleeves if they direct this movie :wacko: But yeah, thas all I've heard so far....inform me on more rumors u guys might hear!!!

that would be soo cool. but would it be an animation or real life. Either way is cool but it would be really cool. It would make lots of money but then again hollywood would have a chance to ruin it forever....... Grr!

usually when a video game is made into a movie it sucks...so i think it is going to be ruined

The thing is, there's been rumours of so many films that were supposed to be in production that I don't think they're worth taking seriously anymore. There was supposed to be a Duke Nukem film, a Silent Hill film, a Metal Gear film, blah blah blah. Plus there are very few good game to film ports conversions to begin with.

Ladies, Gentlemen and sock puppets. YES! [i]GOD YES[/i]! There will be a halo movie Bungie have announced that it is in the works. They have the script down and have started to make it, they won't be done until about when Halo 3 comes out *bangs head against wall due to no Halo... ness*. There is a big disscusion on about whether it will be animated or really filmed, I can tell you that they have made a full battle armor suit but this isn't a guarentee. The movie will feature the storyline from the Halo book: [color=red]The Fall of Reach[/color], this goes on about the events from when John (Master Chief) was selected for the Spartian program to when Keyes arrived at Halo (not what actually happened there just when they arrived) this too isn't a guarentee of the storyline but I do [i]know [/i]that it will be on the Fall of Reach.

They are making a movie for the same reason anyone makes a movie $$$. All I have to say though is: Hells yea! Don't care if it sucks, don't care if it's animated, don't care if it's real, don't care if you don't care, I'm gonna see it!

For oatmeal8s post, don't worry, Bungie have already answered these questions... partially. They have said that the movie will be as close to the storyline as physically possible while still trying to show the world of Halo in a new light (namely Chief's struggles through the Spartan training program). As for the Chief's actor, they won't annouce him until they absolutly have to, as they don't want anyone to have any idea what the Chief really looks like. If you haven't noticed the times when we come bare inches from seeing the Chiefs face but miss then you haven't been paying much attention. When Halo 3 come out though we will probably see the Chiefs face then they will tell us who will play the Chief. Do not fret, Bungie hasn't let us down yet (or at least by [i]my [/i]standards) and won't with this.

Call me odd, but I [i]never [/i]want to see Chief's face. I'd prefer his features stay within a shadow of mystery. They could end the whole thing without ever revealing him and I'd be perfectly happy.
